A Sunset
Topic: My Thoughts
Every night the horizon lights up
Swirls of pink and orange fading to blue and purple

Few bother to look anymore
At a blessing that only comes once a day

Each sunset is different, no two exactly alike
Difference flows throughout while it is the only similarity

Over the ocean or through the sky scrapers
Out on the prairie or in an apartment

You can still see a piece
A piece of something, something never to return
A sunset

For the colors are shimmering
For a moment they stay
Only to disappear into change
Change just as beautiful as the last

This is why no matter where you go
One thing remains the same,
A difference in sunsets

In your very own sunset

Sunset, my most favorite time in the afternoon. Sometimes when we were vacant, we went to the seaside to wait and watch the sunset. At the end of the day when I want to take a rest, to witness the beauty of nature and ponder what this so called life to me had offered, then watching sunset is my first choice to do. The picture in the right side was taken during one of our visit in Scientific Center, I waited as the sun disappeared below the horizon to capture few shots from it, that was one of the best shots I captured that day.

Oh, I miss writing on this blog....I got busy this past few days reading and watching some news about what happen in Lebanon. I really felt sorry for them, all I can do is pray for their safety and victory from their evil enemy. Once, I did not able to control my emotion when I saw in the newspaper a body of a dead baby boy as big as my son Azhfaar trapped in the debris of the devastated building, I cried terribly since I can relate to his parents' feeling. Alhamdulillah, there's a ceasefire now. I know it's not totally safe yet but at least, the killings will be minimized now.

As of now, I am busy in learning more Thai recipes because I noticed that my hubby is very fond of it. I knew some but I want to learn more. When I'll found a new and delicious one, I'll try it and post it in my Recipe Blog.

Plucking the Eybrows!
Topic: Issues

That's my eybrow, it's been a long time that I want to pluck it because I knew I will look better if I do so,but I always remember the Propeth Mohammad's Hadith saying that:

Plucking the Eyebrows. It is forbidden and not permissible in Islam, according to the Hadith: 'May Allah's curse be inflicted upon women who pluck their eyebrows, and women hired to do this.'

What is prohibited is an-Nams, which denotes removing the hair of the eyebrows by plucking in order to make it thin. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have cursed both women who do the plucking and those who seek to have it done. (Reported by Abu Dawud)"

Elaborating on this, we'd like to cite for you the following Fatwa issued by Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who states:

"The word used in the Hadith is nams in Arabic, which means plucking the eyebrows. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) considered plucking as distorting the creation of Allah. This was the practice resorted to by prostitutes in the time of pre-Islamic jahiliyya (ignorance) and it is still used by women of loose morals.

Hence, I chose to look this way than to be cursed by the Almighty and go to hell in the hereafter! Allah Forbids!
