October's Parents Meeting. . . Thursday, October 7th, five parents met with Master Chief Pierre and myself to discuss the unit. C/LT Greene and C/CPO(Select) Gomez gave a brief presentation on the unit's First Quarter (October through December) activities. Looming large on the horizon is our first competition - Felix Varela Field Meet. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, 16 October. We are scheduled to meet at J.P. Taravella no later than 0545 for a scheduled departure time of 0600. Our first event will be the 2000 yard relay at 0740. Cadets are to wear their physical training gear for the bus trip.
