At first, Li Showron didn't believe Sakura Avalon could handle being the chosen CardCaptor of the Clow, so he always gave her a hard time and considered her his rival. As time passed, he began accepting her abilities and eventually became her ally instead of her enemy. Now that the Kayo Gems have appeared, he sees this as an opportinuty to rid himself of his boring life, and jump back into his action with his sword and magic. Being Ceaira Syona's distant cousin shocked him, but now this thin blood line has caused him to become very protective of her, but even more protective of Sakura, as he finally realized his true feelings for her.

While Sakura has a crush on him, Li as well has a crush on her, but hasn't told her his feels for the same reasons. His sport of choice is the soccer team, where he is the captain as well. Being the descendant of Clow Reed, his magic is very strong and fast. Like Ceaira and Sakura however, he is able to claim gems. One of which was Erase. As well, he and Meilin now have a best friend relationship, which is good for both of them. He will encourage Meilin to do what she is able to that will benefit her friends and herself when she feels she can't.
