 St. Basil's Cathedral
Located on Red Square, the Cathedral was built by Ivan IV the Terrible in commemoration of the conquest of Kazan in 1952. St. Basil, who was viewed as a "holy fool", is interred within the walls. The cupolas around the central spire are for the chapels inside the Cathedral and are said to represent each attempt to capture Kazan.
