FIRST TO FIGHT

While in theatre, B Company retains the distinction of having been the only sub-unit to participate in all Battle Group operations conducted over the course of the tour. In addition, we have been proud to lay claim to a number of combat "firsts" while deployed: · First combat element of the battle group to arrive on the ground at QANDAHAR Airfield, · First company to occupy a sector of the defensive perimeter at QANDAHAR Airfield, and · First rifle company to land on the 'WHALE' by combat air assault during Operation HARPOON.
