Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3
Seville glanced around the room and laughed. It was the most ridiculous thing that she had ever seen in her entire life. It was decorated in a Greek style with pillars and pink marble everywhere.
When Seville arrived she hadn't been able to believe the amount of lights. It must cost the city of Las Vegas huindreds of thousands of dollars to keep it running. She looked at her travel companion guide. She thumbed through it and decided that it might be fun to go to a show.
"History of Crazy Horse," she said to herself. She knew that Crazy Horse was a brand of clothing from JCPenny's. Conservative yet stylish. "That might actually be interesting." She grabbed her bag and left her room.
*****
"Hey Joey I bet that you got some hardcore action last night!" said Justin winking at Joey and patting him on the back.
"I wish I got some last night," said Lance ruefully.
"What about that chick you met?" asked JC. Lance gently grabbed his shoulder.
"Yeah, her boyfriend told me, well, showed me that I had no business even talking to her."
"You got in a fight over some chick?" asked Chris.
"No, I wasn't about to fight over a slut that sleeps with anything on two legs," said Lance.
"Chickens have two legs," Justin reminded him. They all burst out laughing rom the mental pictures that arose in their minds. Joey got up and left the room. He couldn't stand their idiocy. He sat in the room that he shared with Chris. Yeah he had scored last night. With two chicks. But something wasn't right.
He had only met Seville once but his every thought was plagued by her. He didn't know what was wrong with him.
He decided that he would catch a show. Maybe that would clear his mind. He picked up his travel companion guide and thumbed through it.
"History of Crazy Horse, sounds interesting," Joey said to himself. He knew that Crazy Horse was the most famous exotic dance club in Paris, France, Europe, the world.
"Hey guys I'm going to a show," he announced leaving the posh hotel suite.
"By yourself?" asked Justin.
"Without us?" asked Lance in mock despair as he began to fake cry.
Their only answer was the door slamming.
*****
Seville reached the theater where the show was in plenty of time. She bought her ticket. She was early so she had her choice of seats. She chose one up front, close to the stage. She didn't even notice that the rest of the audience was male except for a few very butch looking women.
*****
Joey got to the theater one minute before the show started. The only seats left were in the back.
"Lucky people," he said to himself, as he saw all the people with front row seats. A group of half naked women were running across the stage as the show began.
Joey noticed an atractive looking woman sitting alone in the front row. The lights from the stage glinted off of her luxerious red hair and Joey thought that she looked much like Seville, even though he couldn't quite make out her features in the darkened theater.
Maybe after the show he would go over and introduce himself. He focused his attention on her rather than the show and laughed to himself when the girls on stage began to do. . ..interesting things. . . .and she threw her hands over her eyes. Something about that was vaguely familiar.
Joey figured that now ws as good a time as any to make his move. He turned his pimp mode on and left his seat.
*****
Seville felt a tap on her shoulder. She removed her hands from over her eyes and looked at the person. And gasped.
It was Joey.
It seemed that he was suffering from the same shock that she was.
"Seville?" he whispered.
"Joey?" she asked cautiously.
"Hey, long time no see huh?" he asked sitting in the empty seat next to her.
"Joey what are you doing here?" she asked.
"I should be asking you that. This is a show on a strip club," he chuckled.
"I figured that out!" she snapped. "I thought that it was a show on a clothing company, they should make those travel companions a bit more clear."
"How about after the show we get something to eat?" he asked her.
"How about now?" she asked desperate to get out of the theater.
"Fine with me," Joey said taking her arm and leading her out of the overcrowded theater.
*****
Joey took Seville to a small cafe in the casino. Surprisingly it was pretty quiet. The both ordered some coffee and they sat awkwardly, not talking.
"So. . ." Joey began.
"So what?" asked Seville.
"So how've you been?"
"Good, and you?"
"Great," he said flashing her a killer grin.
"Great."
They settled into another awkward silence.
"You know," Joey began slowly.
"Yeah?"
"I. . . .I think about you alot," he mumbled.
"I think about you alot too," she said.
"But no matter what I'm doing. Even with another girl, I can only think about you," he said taking her hand.
"Joey I fweel exactly the same way but I know that you don't want a commitment."
"How do you know?"
"I read some newspaper article on you and your friends. Apparently you're the playboy of the group. You wouldn't want a relationship with me. Why didn't you tell me that you were in a music group. And a popular one?"
"I thought you knew. I thought that everyone knew who I was. And Seville, I most deffinitely want a relationship with you."
"But. . .the. . the article," she stammered.
"Is lying," he shrugged. "Yeah, I see alot of women, but what's the point of having a serious relationship if you don't feel anything? I feel something for you Seville and I don't know what it is, but I know that I want to be with you."
"Joey I.. . ." Seville began but joey's lips on hers cut her off. The kiss lasted for only a moment but the soft feel of his lips on hers remained with Seville.
"Now do you believe me?" he asked, stroking a finger down her cheek. Seville nodded her head.
"Good, c'mon!" he said, throwing some bills on the table and getting up.
"Where. . .where. . .what. . .huh?" she said, completely befuddled. "Whree are we going?"
"We are going to that chapel right over there," replied Joey firmly.
"Why?"
"Because we are going to get married!" he said decisively.
"What?" asked Seville stopping in her tracks.
"Yeah, this is the only way to figure out if our feelings are real, so c'mon!" he said dragging her closer to the chapel.
"Wait!" she said. When he turned to her she had no idea why she had stopped him. "My wedding should be special. . .." she began lamely.
"It will be special, not as special as the honeymoon though," said Joey wickedly. "If we realize it was only lust we'll get divorced, no big deal right? And if we realize that we love each other than we'll get remarried," he said kissing her. Seville Belindaz, who had never done anything without carefully planning it out did something totally out of character.
"Yes."
