june14th Slight Return is having their first full length record put out on Matlock Records. Matlock is the home of great Canadian indie bands like The Plan, The Wooden Stars, and Weights and Measures.
The first tour to support the new album is lined up and begins on the 15th of June in Halifax, Nova Scotia and ends in Toronto, Ontario on june 23rd. march5th the last live show was filmed using two different cameras. the hope is to use this footage to create a video for much east to play. John Davies and Paul Doucette are at work on this project. more details to follow.
jan23rd two days before slight return starts work on their first full length. material is to be recorded over four days, with the aid of michael catano putting sound to tape and mark mullane as producer. 10 songs will be recorded.

nov22th so far so good. the band has taken some time off from playing shows to work on new songs for a record that will begin in the studio in the new year. look for an album of 8 to 10 songs to be released in the spring.

oct12th there is no news from the slight return camp.
aug6th its funny how things change. recording will commence sometime in september. mike catano from Norh of America/The Plan is on board as sound engineer for the recordings. anyone who knows the slight boys will tell you that this is great news, and that they look forward to working very closely with mike on their quest for sound. excitement.

may31st Slight has been receiving play on c.k.d.u. radio thanks to our friends over there. Please call in and request "the colorless idea" from the harbour mix comp.
may20th Talk of a new Slight recording can be heard on air. No one knows exactly the what the plan is, however the group has been interested in recording a full length cd for some time. With the new material coming your way this looks like more of a possibility. Stay posted.
april 24th The group headed into local all age venue the pavilion to record two new songs, one of which will be featured on a new album comprised of local indie rock bands. Sean MacGilluray, who's band the burdocks, will also be on this cd, recorded the sessions. The group would like to thank Sean for his huge help on their quest for sound. Thank you.
