Here we have yet another black/death metal band from Sweden. Silent Night Fever was released just this past March and has met very good reviews among the black metal scene. The cd starts off with the very brutal and in your face song, "Silent Night Fever." This is also the title track of the cd. The song never lets up and the vocals only add to the brutality. The rest of the CD continues in the same vein and the amount of metal mayhem never gives in. Songs like "Through the Virgin Sky" sound very reminisnect of the very respected In Flames. "Why?" you ask. Well thats because this is not a new song. It is in fact an older song written while the present guitarist for In Flames was with this band. When he left, Dimension Zero wanted to keep a sort of "In Flames' sound," but add a high brutality factor to the songs. Silent Night Fever succeeds in just that too. Mixing brutal riffs with a touch of lead playing and power metal makes for a very nice listening. Dimension Zero has alot of potential and this CD shows.
