First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me
this opportunity to pick at your minds... err umm
jk... i mean thank your for giving me this opportunity
to interview you guys today. Lets get down to business
shall we?
LD: First of all introduce yourselves.
KENNY: My name is Kenneth Reichelderfer Jr., and I am
the
Bassist for Aeris.
DANNY: Daniel Perez iv
ISSAC: Hello! I’m Issac Villarreal and I’m a lead
guitarist/ keyboard/vocals/composer in Aeris! And I
like Frito chili pie and I hate to change my guitar
strings, lol... I put that on every bio now... : \,
lol... ok, I think its probably time for something
new.... well... ok, My name is Issac Villarreal and
Frito chili pi.... uh.... darn it... ok, again....
reset!!! Ok.... My name is Issac Villarreal, and... Oh
forget it! I play guitar.
FzV: I'm Justin Aguayo, usually referred to as,
FuZaVue, or FzV, or "That scary looking Vampyre guy",
I am the lead guitarist/ keyboard/vocals/composer for
the Band Aeris. I'm more or less a quiet individual
who enjoys his loneliness and solitude. I spend most
of my free time studying, researching odd things and
reading Antique books about music. I plan to get a PhD
in Music Composition and Theory and would like to
score Movie Soundtracks in the near future.
My personal Homepage is located at
http://myweb.cableone.net/aeris/fzv.htm
LD: How did you all get involved with Aeris to begin
with?
KENNY: I became involved with Aeris on Dec. 24th,
2003. I
had met them for the first time (after wanting to meet
them for at least a year) at a classical guitar gig at
Our Lady of Sorrows Church. I introduced myself and
told them I played guitar. Later on, I received a
message online from them asking if I wanted to play
bass for them. It turns out they had a gig within a
week and a half, and their bassist had disappeared.
Not only did I get to meet them again, I get to play
along side them. It's almost like a dream come true.
DANNY: I was put in the wrong guitar class in school,
and I
met Justin and Isaac there in the hall. And the
subject of L.T.E. came up and I knew their drummer was
Mike
Portnoy and he played for Dream Theater.
ISSAC: It all started a few years back with me
meeting Justin. We wrote songs and gigged around town.
Eventually we wanted to fill in other positions rather
than using a keyboard to fill in the missing parts of
our band. Luckily we met Danny Perez, percussion lover
who happened to dig similar taste of music. And
shortly after.... Armando came into the picture. Haha,
Kenny R. came in on bass, what a darn gift we got in
this guy, piano, guitar, bass, composition genius
FzV: Quick version, I was finished with my year of
woodshedding and ready to get into a band again, I
found Victoria being the nearest place to search out a
new band or Project. Much to my dismay, my every
attempt at finding a project failed miserably. I
found myself in decent scenarios, as well as utterly
hopeless ones. Nothing seemed to pan out the way I
had planned. It came to a point to where I had a
drummer and no one else. At the time I was fed up
with the hopelessness of those around me and from that
point I intended to compose all the music myself and
then have the drummer accompany me. A week or 2
passes, and a cousin of mine is listening to my
creations and mentions the fact that a guy by the name
of Issac is out there pretty much doing the same style
of music I was striving for. After all that had
happened to me, I felt that was simply too good to be
true, so I did not pursue it. Perhaps a month or so
passed, and out of curiosity I obtained Issac's
information from my cousin and gave him a call, only
to find out we were both Final Fantasy Addicts, and
Huge admirers of Nobueo Uematsu. That was good enough
for me, we got together to jam, and found out not
only did we both enjoy guitar solos but we were both
fascinated by Insane Shredding ala Jason Becker, Tony
MacAlpine and Marshall Harrison. It was a very simple
thing to go from that to where we are now. We have
enough in common musically to keep us on the same
track, and we have enough differences to keep things
very interesting musically. Kenny and Danny did not
join till almost a year and a half later. I do wish
that we had prior knowledge of their existence 2 years
ago!! For this lineup of Aeris has enough musical
knowledge, technique and love of complexities that
allows me the privilege of knowing anything I can
conceive in my mind is possible through this band. I
have enough faith in everyone as True Musicians that I
know No matter how complex or *odd* my visions, or
their visions are, they can help make them realities.
Also it truly helps that Issac and Kenny are multi
talented, I would trust either of them on Keyboards,
Piano, guitar, bass, or even drums. As for Danny he
is very solid as a Drummer, Full of creativity and
spontaneity, and that to me, makes him truly great.
His admiration for Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart also
make it very easy for him to comprehend some of the
*Odd Time Signature* based ideas we have, as well as
the ideology of Percussion being orchestrated, and not
just simply *keeping a beat with a fill now and
again*. Truly what more can I say then these 3 guys
are the most amazing musicians I have had the
privilege of knowing and working with. Every time we
create music I am simply honored to be a part of it,
and entranced to be in their presence.

LD: I understand that you still come across people who
do not understand the name of your band... would you
mind explaining the meaning behind "Aeris" for those
who don't know?
KENNY: Aeris is a character from Final Fantasy VII
(7) for
the Playstation.
DANNY: Final Fantasy 7… I need to play the game.
ISSAC: Umm... I really don’t know either.... lol,
now, we (Issac and Justin) agreed earlier on that this
wasn’t a verbatim Final Fantasy rip off..... we made
the comment that Aeris basically is a name.... that
means enchanting music, it doesn’t per say have to do
with the FF7 character Aeris really.... but yeah....
don’t get me wrong, that’s where we got it from, long
live FF!!!!
FzV: Aeris is from a Latin word which translates into
"air; atmosphere; cloud; aether", more or less the
lower part of our Earth's atmosphere. Issac and I
chose The name Aeris after going through I must say an
intensely long list of names. I don't recall
precisely why we stopped on that, In my head it was
simply an enchanting name, and a pleasurable word to
speak aloud. Although I'll admit, at the time,
mention of FinalFantasy VII's Character only
encouraged me even more to keep the name Aeris. One
of the saddest memories in my entire existence is when
I saw her death on my PsX. Long Live Final Fantasy
Indeed…
LD: That being said, what games are you currently
playing?
KENNY: To be honest, I don't really have a lot of
time to
be playing games anymore, but when I do get a chance,
I try to finish up Suikoden II and I will eventually
get back to the Final Fantasies, especially FF6.
DANNY: I was playing Super Mario Sunshine with my son
on
Gamecube, Metroid and Rogue Squadron II. Than we have
been playing Pokemon Stadium II on N64
ISSAC: hahaha, cooooo...... OMG OMG OMG! I’m addicted
to Quake3.... My rails are up to 80% :D :D :D Scary
crap! haha, sides that, I’m getting into
hacking/altering PSX games again, I’m currently
playing FF7and messing with that now..... and
errrr.... Me and Kt are playing Final Fantasy 9!!
UT2k4 seems to be coming back into the picture, cant
wait till next Aeris LAN!
FzV: Currently Trying to Finish up FFX, I've only put
about 14 hours into and apparently I'm not very far at
all, I don't really have time for games right now,
especially Epics such as Final Fantasy. Granted that
does not stop me from putting in about 50 minutes a
week! I have Resident Evil outbreak for Ps2 which I’m
very happy with, I don't really play it online too
much because I haven’t quite grasped the zombie head
stomping technique I see Kenny so gracefully use
against the undead. I'm actually hoping Kenny will
get a copy of the game and a Ps2 Modem really soon so
we can play online with our good friend Kishin who
does not like Crows! Other then that I mainly play Pc
games, my favorite being UT2K4 although I'm quite sure
that will change the second Doom3 comes out. I'm also
currently awaiting the release of Vampyre the
Masquerade Bloodlines, I was a huge fan of
*Redemption*. I also enjoy Warcraft 3, Call of Duty,
and typing of the dead. I would like to spend some
time replaying FFVII and will do so first chance I
get.
LD: On that note, what's in your CD player right now?
KENNY: In my 5 disc cd changer, I have a custom
Warmen cd,
Dream Theater's Train of Thought, and the 3 cd set
from the Metropolis 2000 Live from New York DVD. In
my playlist for winamp, I have Dream Theater's Scenes
From A memory album, and a few more Misc. Dream
Theater songs, and Liquid Tension Experiment's
Universal Mind.
DANNY: Dream Theater-Falling into Infinity, Train of
Thought
Rush-Power Windows, Roll the Bones
ISSAC: An MP3 disk with Dream Theater, Symphony X,
Synergy, Liquid Tension, and Yngwie Malmsteen.... and
also some Castlevania SotN tracks.... and some solo
stuff I’ve been working on
FzV: Honestly, I'm really odd when it comes to music,
I’ll get one thing and listen to it for months and
months and listen to nothing else. Right now I’m
listening to the tracks off of the Aeris *Visions*
demo, and Dream Theater's Change of Seasons, and
Metropolis 2000 Scenes from a memory, on winamp I
have nothing but Journey. I recently acquired a DvD
of Beethoven's 9th Symphony conducted by Herbert Von
Karajan and performed by the Berlin Philharmonic it's
quite spectacular. I'm also watching a DvD of the
Cliburn Series Piano Competition winners with a Very
Talented Russian play Rachmaninov's 3rd which is still
mind blowing to me, I can watch that piano concerto a
million times and never get sick of it. I absolutely
adore the romantic era and post romantic era of piano
composition, in my mind and ear for that matter, it's
basically Amazingly composed and orchestrated Piano
SHRED.

LD: Who does most of the music writing in the band? Do
each of you write for your own instruments or do you
use a different method of songwriting?
KENNY: Well, we all try to contribute something for
each
song. Sometimes, one of us will come up with a
complete song and show the whole band, and we just
build upon that idea, and tweak what needs to be
tweaked so it can be playable.
DANNY: We all have some say in what goes in the final
product, most of the time it has been on the fly,
others have been thought through. A lot of the times
it is kind of scary, because I can sing or hum a tune
or something and then the guys instantly play it on
their
guitars, other times one of us is trying to come up
with something, and as a band we finish the thought
process.
Right now we are feeling each other out and learning
how to
approach each other. I strongly feel that learning
what each of us brings to the table is what is going
to make our songs unique and
special.
ISSAC: So far we’ve basically have been following
Justin’s lead who writes a lot quickly, I personally
am a super freaking slow writer so I haven’t come up
with very much material for Aeris. We all basically
write for everything usually, except for drums mainly.
We plan on trying different approaches to composition
after the demo is done. You will notice a change in
the music...
FzV: The entire band works as a unit to get the final
product on the table. We are currently trying to vary
our approaches to our writing methods, so in essence
we do NOT have one approach that always works, I
think this will allow us to create music that will be
utterly brilliant. For we work great as a 4 band
members working together, we also work great when we
break off into groups, as well we work great when we
create music on our own and then present it to the
rest of the band. To be quite honest, we are just now
finding ourselves, musically, creatively,
artistically, as a Band, and as 4 Individuals willing
to compromise to create Auditory Masterpieces. As we
gain more and more individual comfort within Aeris you
can expect to see our Creations Progress in more ways
then imaginable. What you have seen from Aeris thus
far is merely the tip of the Iceberg.
You Have Seen Nothing Yet.
You Have Been Warned.
LD: You have referred to Aeris as a Prog Metal band,
however some have labeled you strictly Power metal,
does that bother you in anyway?
KENNY: Personally, It does bug me somewhat at the
moment,
but I'm just happy I can play... there is nothing we
can do about it though, since we don't have a set
keyboardist, but if anyone would like to try out to be
our keyboardist, I'm sure we'd be willing to check
your skills out.
DANNY: Not to sound to negative on this subject…But
who has said this? and
when have these so-called labelers been at our show?
Last time I checked, we played in Dallas to a bunch of
music happy kids, who wouldn’t have cared what we
played as long as we played! Or maybe we are talking
about the bar regulars at Fannellis who have enjoyed
the entertainment we have brought to the
establishment. OH Well!
By the way who set the rules for Prog-metal anyway?
Isn’t that what Prog is about?…no boundaries??
Yes we are a Prog-Metal band… because we will Progress
with the music we are writing. Some people might not
see it that way, but if we are Power Metal…where are
the
Power Metal fans?
ISSAC: No not at all, I believe that with what we
have we are a power metal band, but that’s fixing to
change, I love power metal though, so yeah... I take
that still as a huge compliment..... Now if they said
Nu metal.... *rolls eyes* *gunshot* hahaha
FzV: I wonder if we have been pinned as a Power metal
band since the first inception of Aeris was an attempt
at Neo-Classicism. Yet that idea went away a long
time ago, I can't say that we have ever truly strived
to be Power Metal. Or any other type of Metal for
that matter, since the whole basis of Classification
is a hypocrisy anyhow. The whole means of
classification is to take apart something you don't
understand put it into a easily forgettable nice and
neat little package. Think about it, it's so easy to
blow something off or even someone off just because
they fit into a given mold. “Hey I don't like that
person because he's a *blank*,” I actually wrote a
really odd thesis on that a while back if anyone is
really interested in my thoughts on the subject of
preformed mental molds check out this site http://myweb.cableone.net/aeris/thoughts.htm
Now that my tangent is over with, on the subject of us
being Power Metal, I can't say that I listen to much
Power metal, so in essence it doesn't Phase me per
say. Aeris has been called many a thing much worse
then Power Metal. As a matter of fact, I'm quite
happy with being called Power Metal. Although of
course, the context of the statement would have to be
taken into regards. If it was in favorable terms I
would be pleased, if It was otherwise, I would be
quite angry. Yet, if I could get back to the whole idea of
classification, the reason I dislike classifications
is that they are very limiting by nature. A power
metal band must have a specific sound to retain its
Power Metal Classification. Just as a Blues band must
retain a *Blues* sound to remain in the blues
Category. By that respect Aeris took on the Moniker
of "Progressive Metal/Rock" for the sole reason that
Progressive metal does not have a set structure or set
of rules, its distinct definition is "Progress", and
you can't stop progress. It grows, and changes
constantly, and the second you think you know what
*Prog* is it has already changed forms. The Prog of
yesterday is different from the Prog of today, which
will be different from the Prog of tomorrow. Even
Prog between Prog bands differs greatly; a Prog fan
would notice that. Anyone who doesn't appreciate
Progressive music won't, they will just brush it off
and say it sounds just like every other Prog band out
there.
**For a refresher course on the hypocrisies of
classification see above**
LD: Tell me about the concepts of your songs, are they
based on personal experiences or other forms of media
by any chance?
KENNY: I think I'll let Justin take this question
: P
DANNY: The songs will have a little of both, most of
the
writing will have a set story or thought process, that
might be carried on through other songs, some might
carry what is going on with the world yesterday, today
or tomorrow, as for personal issues, that remains to
be seen.
ISSAC: I personally haven’t participated in vocal
writing yet... so I really can’t say very much.... I
would say a mixture.... some are stories... some are
from personal exp.
FzV: I would have to say personal experiences, since
those are the hands that shape our individual
lives.... there's no escaping that
LD: This is a dumb question, but for those who don't
know, what bands have the most influence over Aeris?
KENNY: Hehe, I think it's safe to say Dream Theater
is our
all time biggest influence... Other influences of the
band include Rush, Journey, X Japan, Liquid Tension
Experiment, Stratovarius, Nobuo Uematsu, Jason Becker,
etc.
DANNY: FOR ME---DREAM THEATER, RUSH, TOOL, DAVE
WECKYL,
JOURNEY, SLAUGHTER, DEF LEPPARD, DAVE MATHEWS, JOSH
FREESE, TERRY BOZZIO, POISON
ISSAC: Dream Theater we look up to a lot, then bands
like Stratovarious, Rhapsody, Nightwish, and Symphony
X.
FzV: I would say as a Band the influences are Dream
Theater, and Liquid Tension Experiment. Everyone in
the band has their individual influences as well which
is what makes for the diversity of Aeris music. It's
suffice to say that we will have a song that you could
point out section by section is influenced or *sounds
Like* a certain band, and then you go back to the song
as a whole and listen to it, and then it sounds like
nothing else.

LD: Where do you see metal going in the coming years?
With the rise of black metal bands like In Flames and
Soilwork, it seems metal may be making a comeback.
What's your opinion?
KENNY: I can see metal making a come back. I hope it
does
too, personally, I'm becoming sick of rap and
hardcore... It's not really my cup of tea.
DANNY: I hope so; I would like to hear some bands on
the
radio, which were not made up in Disney or MGM
studios!
ISSAC: I really haven’t been following where metal
has been going, I just want to do what I love and have
fun with it.
FzV: I would like to see Metal have a more prominent
place in our musical society. Granted that is most
assuredly a pipe dream, and one has to admit that the
forms of *Metal* which did reach a Major Height in The
years of past were never really taken far too
seriously. The great metal that we all remember and
adore was still mostly underground then, if not as
much now. Although the great artists have a cult
following, and those who know, .... "Know". That’s
Really what I'm looking for, people who appreciate our
music, compositions skills, Innovations, and
Technique. I've definitely become somewhat of a music
hermit lately and I have not been keeping track of
modern music. Without a doubt, I want to see more
solos, and not boring bluesy pentatonic solos with
*Feeling*. Learn some theory, apply it to your
guitar, and create something new.
LD: What do you think of The Darkness?
KENNY: Umm... Different? I dunno, I don't really
listen to
them...
DANNY: I’m not interested, really. They sound cool,
but
another British invasion, in my opinion. Everybody
will blow them like Weezer, and boom they are gone.
ISSAC: Errrrr....... I like it like that outside, it
beats daytime! Hahaha, no, I had to ask Justin what it
is..... I have never heard of them.. sorry : \
FzV: comical.
LD: If you could have any band release a brand new CD,
which band would it be?
KENNY: Hmm... Dream Theater, I guess... or maybe us :P
DANNY: Aeris-Visions
ISSAC: Liquid Tension or a Jason Becker
FzV: Aeris - Visions
and I’m quite excited to get Danzig's New album,
that's the only artist who i can say that about
anymore, Anyone else I'll pickup the album when I get
the chance, for Danzig I must have that On the Release
date! What can I say, I've been a
Danzig/Samhain/Misfits Fiend! Since I was 16, 10
years later, still going strong!
LD: Being a Prog band, its expected that the music be
more technical and difficult compared to the usual
fare in the Victoria area. Because of this, some
people have a hard time adjusting to the added flair,
and thus have created comments regarding Aeris as "too
pretentious" and "too showy". What are your comments
on this?
KENNY: I believe that in time, they will adjust. I
believe
that they will learn to like it, although I don't mean
to imply that they would give up what they like,
whether it be hardcore, rap, pop, whatever. What I
would like most from these people though is that they
give us our due as musicians, even though they might
not enjoy our music.
DANNY: Well, let me get this straight, if the people
who are
at our show are there to enjoy the music, should it
matter? Remember, I thought we were playing to people
who understand where we are trying to go, and what we
are trying to accomplish. So no, I don’t agree with
the
“too pretentious, too showy” part. And what about
every other
band who are doing their acts on stage would not their
style be considered pretentious and showy?. You know
the
cussing, the middle finger pointing, the drinking,
smashing
the instruments, getting kicked out of clubs, and
yelling obscene remarks to the crowds.
We are very courteous and act in a professional
manner.
We don’t have to act like jerks, to get noticed. So
is
that such a bad thing? You know humans naturally act
like
this when something new comes around. Most people
cannot accept change, and that is what we are.
We are a change.
ISSAC: Simple.... not to be an... You know what...
(@hole) but..... they haven’t seen anything yet, much
of it was actually improvised and was based on how
fast and how many notes we could play..... we know its
not all about that..... be patient, were ironing out
some wrinkles
FzV: For me it really boils down to what one is
accustomed to listening too on a regular basis.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as they
can respect the opinions of another. It’s when an
opinion is forced upon someone else as STRICT Fact in
a manner that’s intended to strip away the thoughts of
another that I am angered. In any case, I can speak
for everyone in Aeris when I say the music we
currently write is. NOT DIFFICULT, NOT COMPLICATED,
AND QUITE EASY. On that note, we are currently
working on making everything as difficult and
complicated for ourselves as possible. If you think
what we are playing right now is Complex you have Not
seen anything yet. You must understand that we
practice on our instruments religiously. What was
difficult for us a week ago is now absolutely simple
to play. Something that gave us absolute hell and
filled the room with frustration 3 days ago, now just
falls into place and no one thinks anything of it.
I’m sure being video game fanatics does nothing to
help our attention spans either. We are constantly
looking for more exciting themes, and different ways
to get out of using standard chord progressions,
*Picardi third!*. I’m sure what I’m getting at is
what was great and innovative to us a month ago,
*using alternating themes in 7/8 and 5/8” is really
standard fare to us now. I’m sure as time progresses
that such musical ventures and experiments will only
become more and more interesting to us as we grow
musically in knowledge and maturity. You also should
take into consideration the bands influences, we are
influenced by bands that are very progressive, or very
much classical based. I hate to say it but in the
baroque – romantic era, Power chords were not the
dominant element of musical composition. That’s not
to say “DON’T USE POWER CHORDS CU FZV SAID NO!” It’s
the same ideology I try to instill in all of my guitar
students. The idea is simple really…
As a creator of music, you truly are an artist. You
are a Painter, You create Portraits, portraits of
sounds, and your paints are sounds.
So basically everything you know is a color, a power
chord is a color, a pick scrape is a color, a arpeggio
is a color, major, minor, dim and all the various
chord types are all colors, every scale is a color,
every bit of theory and knowledge one could have are
all separate colors. Now what comes into question,
exactly what type of portrait are you trying to
create?
If you were trying to create a Rembrandt, Fransisco
Goya, or Sandro Botticelli, then you are definitely
going to need as many colors as possible as well as
absolute control over your technique and vision. Now
if you wanted to just flick paint at a canvas see what
sticks and call that art!!! More power to you, we all
know that goes over just as well in the art world.
So what it comes down to, what is going to be the
final product that you, as an artist are going to be
proud of. That you are going to be excited enough
about to show the world, to share those things that
are so deep inside of you that they can only be
expressed, ONLY be understood through music? Truly
think about that answer, it is going to be different
for every person, put 2 people together, and it will
be different. Put 4 people together and obtain yet a
different answer.
The Music we create, is the art that the Artist,
*Aeris* Makes. It is what we are proud of. Take it
for what it is, If you don’t like it, you are in the
midst of a Huge “gallery”, there are millions of bands
out there, I’m sure you could find something else to
listen to. If you can listen to our music and truly
appreciate what we are creating, and truly understand
where we are coming from and why we do the things that
we do…..
Then welcome to our home, you are one of us.
LD: As for those who appreciate Aeris, how have they
reacted toward you these past months?
KENNY: Those that appreciate Aeris have shown us
full
support, and some have tried helping out in as many
ways as possible. I'd like to thank a personal friend
of the band, Wes, for printing us business cards,
flyers, and even getting his parent's suburban for the
Dallas trip at the beginning of June.
DANNY: Well Wes, Tres, and Jonathon has really
accepted what
we have done and what we are going to do, everyone
else I guess thinks we are pretentious and too showy,
so I’ll wait to hear their comments.
ISSAC: Cool cool! And very supportive! you guys rock!
Special thanks to the guys who helped us along the
way!
FzV: The results have been phenomenal, those who are
in the *know* are constantly impressed with our
growth, we have only had our demo out for a couple
days and the web hits per day have already tripled.
I'm getting nothing but positive feedback about the
music, and I am currently asking everyone who listens
to the demo more then once to send in a review so I
can post them on the band site.
LD: I also understand that the same members of Aeris
plus one form the jazz fusion band, Metropolis. Is it
difficult juggling two bands at once? Or does one hold
more precedence over the other?
KENNY: I think right now we're doing well. Aeris has
a
slightly higher precedence over Metropolis, but we
take as many gigs for Metropolis as possible as long
as it does not conflict with any other plans we may
have.
DANNY: Aeris all the way, Metropolis, is there for
the fun
and chance to improve and to see different things
ISSAC: It kind of bends, as far as one having
precedence over the other....Metropolis started off
kind of big in the public eye, so we stuck to that a
lot in the beginning, but in time we saw that we kind
of lost track of Aeris...... now we are focusing on
Aeris a lot more...... much much more! :D
FzV: Aeris is by far Dominant, Metropolis was
created as another outlet for musical expression, and
just as personal proof that we are *Musicians*
capable of playing anything. You can expect to still
see Metropolis around the Victoria Area if not
branching out around texas, we have played everywhere
from 205 to the Plaza Club, along with a guest spot or
2 at fannelli's! And quite actually Mr. Fannelli has
requested that we bring Metropolis BACK! to fannelli's
which I find hilarious, but makes me very pleased
with our ability to perform on the spot regardless of
the venue.

LD: What are your current plans with Aeris? Any ideas
for the future?
KENNY: Write more music and get out of Victoria more
often?
DANNY: Release this demo. Houston, Corpus, Dallas,
San
Antonio, Austin! To play anywhere but here all the
time! Get the kids on the road, live life a little;
enjoy what we can do and what we can accomplish,
because man we are going to scare some people.
ISSAC: Just to make some awesome music and share it
with the world, and have fun doing it
FzV: The time has come for us to find our way to
Austin, Houston, Corpus, and San Antonio and begin to
make our marks in those cities. I think those crowds
will be very receptive to what we are doing, it is
unique and powerful enough, progressive by nature and
Our Musicianship and Techniqual prowess speaks volumes
and volumes at every show we play. People will
literally stand in the crowd with their mouths at
their knees. Sometimes I'm a little worried at shows
for while we are playing it's so completely and
utterly quiet, no one is moving or shouting. They
just sit there transfixed with a *deer in the
headlights look* in their eyes. By the end of the
song I'm usually quite worried that they are not
enjoying it, and the second we end the song, there is
always a Roar of applause, along with some noticable
*wow's* across the crowd. So I know what is going on,
they are just in shock by what we are giving to them.
And that's understandable, for me the real test of
our music was when we headed over to Irving to play
with the Amazing guys from Primitive Return. Here we
were in a place who had no idea who we are and more
importantly the *Rumors and Nonsense that surround our
Victoria Exsistence* In essence we were playing to
"Fresh Ears" It was truly our first *Sink Or Swim
Show*. Everyone was just enamoured with it, so I now
Absolutely Adore music fans in Irving Texas and I'm
positive that we are on the right track musically.
For me one of the current issues that haunt us
musically is that no one has really had the time to
become familiar with our material. This is the main
reason I am happy that we are releasing the *Visions*
Demo. This will give everyone a chance to become
familiar with what we are doing musically. I'm
listening to the demo now, and it's such the
proverbial roller coaster ride. Songs do Not sound
the same, Even Words Part 1 and 2 sound insanely
different. For me it sounds musically more like a
Actualy Cd then a demo, granted the recording quality
isn't the greatest but we used a DIY studio !! So
sonically for me personally it's I'm very happy with
what we were able to accomplish on our budget, which
consisted of enough money to get us some taco bell.
In any case, I believe that being able to listen to
and become familiar with our music will make our shows
over much more enjoyable, I know there's alot of *How
did they do that* and *can't wait to see the band Pull
that off* on the album! Of course everyone is invited
and encouraged to sing along ! To witness such things
with mine own eyes and ears would honor me greatly and
give to me eternal happiness.
