Rest In Pieces

General Nguyen Ngoc Coy

Death In: Wolverine #98 - February 1996

"Makes me a tracker an' flamin' hard to kill. As General Nguyen Ngoc Coy -- formerly of the South Vietnamese National Police -- is about to learn."
(Logan - Wolverine, Vol. 1, No. 6)

From feared South Vietnamese officer to one of the crimelords of Madripoor, General Coy left his mark in many ways. Including his near enslavement of his niece, Shan aka Karma, who had to agree to help him with his criminal empire in order to gain his assistance in finding her lost brother and sister. A real sweetheart.

Logan didn't really clash horns with Coy until he teamed up with Tyger Tiger - who took over the crime reins from Coy's number one opposition, Roche. After that, the two had frequent clashes, if not with each other, then between Logan and Coy's men. Coy dealt in slavery and drugs (among other things) - two things Tyger had promised not to move into in order to gain Logan's aid.

Logan generally tried to avoid doing anything too drastic to Coy for Shan's sake.

Wolverine, #6

All that came to a rapid end when Coy and the Prince of Madripoor teamed up together to try and be rid of Logan. When their plans went bad, Coy turned on the Prince and killed him. When he was threatening to shoot Logan as well, he was killed in turn by Tyger Tiger. X-Men, Vol. 1, No. 7
