Amber D'Alexis was a spy that ran a gambling club in Macao back in Nick Fury's CIA days who was a lover to both Nick (business on his part as he was trying to get information on her) and his brother Jake (a biophysicist who later became Scorpio). Logan ran into her while on the trail of a new Scorpio - one who had killed a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named David Nanjiwarra who Logan owed a life debt to. He ended up in the trap Amber and Scorpio had set up for Nick.

An excellent story - and one I won't ruin by giving away too much. However, despite her zeal to rid the world of both Wolverine and Nick Fury, the one the world is rid of is her.
