Logan's not prone to changing his uniform much - especially when compared with Kitty Pryde. Still he does make a change now and then.
He wore this BlackOps gear for his mission to Russia in 1968. His assignment? Infiltrate the Russian Space Center at Tyuratam (nicknamed 'Terry Adams') and assassinate Epsilon Red. From other flashbacks, this seems to have been the primary style worn on missions to non-tropical regions by the members of Team X.

This is the get-up he wore on his first mission for Department H as Weapon X. Considering once he had charge of his own togs that we never see them again, we have to assume the whiskerish design on the face mask wasn't his idea.

Nothing you'd call a massive change - just the face mask changed really. Still, it's the first uniform that we know he had full control over once away from Department H.

When Nightcrawler asked Wolvie why the new uniform, he answered with a typical 'Why not?'. Despite that, since the issue that this uniform first appeared in is also the issue (Uncanny X-Men 139) where he decided to go back and confront Alpha Flight, I believe the uniform change was representing his final break with the Weapon X project (At least as far as he was concerned). As another note - the new colors match the house colors of Clan Yashida. |

A small, but very significant change. Logan shifts from a plain belt to one bearing the X-Men's symbol - the first time Logan was ever shown to wear the emblem for any team. A graphic symbol of the importance the team had assumed in his life.

Not long following Mariko's death, Logan goes back to the gold and blue team uniform -- this time with the X-belt.

Logan in an actual team uniform matching the others in an X-suit that bore resemblance to an earlier team uniform. He didn't stay with this look very long.

Variation of his gold and blue with a different mask. This one was used primarily during the bone-claw period - the mask color & style here might be seen as a nod to his sensei Elektra. The estrangement he was feeling from the X-Men at the time can also be noted in the removal of the team symbol from his belt again. |

A sleek number here - no flarings, near full body cover that's all black except for a yellow circle with the X-symbol on the upper right chest.

A team uniform shown in a Danger Room workout. No mask, back to the old X-team blue and yellow. An almost exact match to the other team uniforms with the exception of being short-sleeved instead of long and his gloves being blue and yellow instead of straight yellow (presumably due to blood stains showing too much on yellow).

A uniform shown with Logan out representing the X.S.E. Mask back, but the 'wing' flair has gone down considerably. Different pattern than any previous, but still keeping with 'slashes' at the shoulders and sides. Belt very minimal compared to the wide belt found on many earlier uniforms.
