Macy's Swings Onto Broadway and
Signs First Show for Thanksgiving Day Parade
By Murdoch McBride
The cast of Swing!, which begins previews at the St. James Nov. 2, has been signed to perform in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Swing! cast will perform the finale of the new Broadway show, which comprises "Sing, Sing, Sing," "Swing Brother Swing" and "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing."
Swing's cast will be featured during the "performance hour" at Herald's Square just prior to the arrival of the Thanksgiving Parade floats and balloons traveling down Broadway.
The annual parade takes place Nov. 25.
A production spokesperson told Playbill On-Line Swing was the first Broadway act to be actually signed for the show and that others are expected to be announced shortly.
