"OH-6 Dragonfly"

Model by Mike H.

Kit Bash

AMT kit 8377 (Xizor’s Virago), Hobby Craft kit (Hughes OH-6A Cayuse Helicopter 1/32).

Model Specifications:
Scale = 1/32?
Length = ?? cm
Width = ?? cm
Height = ?? cm

I had originally thought of using the wings on a car but they were too large for a 1/25-scale car, so I started looking for what kits I had that would fit. The 1/32 Hughes was the ideal size and only required a little blending with strip styrene.

The figures that came with the kit were a little large for the stock cockpit. I made a new cockpit to fit the figures using a combination of kit parts and scratchbuilt parts.

Wing panels were added to the main console. The pilots’ seat was centered and side panels were made. The flight controls are the two cyclic controls from the kit.

The rear console is scratchbuilt using strip styrene and square tubing to make the screens.

The wings and main body are stock
