I got the idea for this one when I was given an Eagle that was already built but was damaged and missing a few pieces. Since they where always crashing the Eagles on the show, they must have had a way of recovering them. Thus
the idea was born.
The damaged kit was further damaged with a candle to give it the appearance of having crashed. Since the model had already been painted, a
Light Gray wash was added to dirty it up.

The Recovery Eagle has a stock boom, engines, and landing feet. The rest of it was modified. Since, on the show, the interior and exterior shots of the cockpit never matched, a new one was built. A full interior was built that includes two figures. The taper was taken out of the rear of the cockpit to give more room, and the windows where reconfigured to make them more user friendly.

The utility pod is scratch built from sheet styrene. The engine pods came from the
"kibbly-bit" box and the spider legs came from a toy spider
The main colors are Flat Arctic White for the body, Steel on the engines, and Medium Gray for grappling
