The model group had a contest among themselves to see what they could do with the AT-AT kit. This
was my idea. The premise is that it is a self-landing Commando Assault Tank. The base of the body was angled out to give a wider footprint and the lower half of the leg was reversed to give a squatter stance, all in an attempt to make it more stable.
The feet were enlarged, using pill bottle caps, to spread the load and make them better able to conform to the terrain. The mouth decal came from a 1/48th scale A-10 Warthog aircraft kit.
The base is made up of two seaQuest submarine bases.
