Lab
Groups and Roles
Groups:
3 members per group is the most efficient and
effective number for a group.
It is not too large and everyone has an
important role to fulfill and contribute towards the group’s success.
Roles:
·
Keep everyone engaged and focus on task
·
Allows for smooth transition between tasks
·
Accountability for individual members as well as the team/group
·
Roles are rotated each lab to allow fairness, but not dictated
(Autonomy is given to the group as they decided)
Roles are taught at the beginning of year and
recorded on Anchor Chart
Chart is posted in a visible area in the room as
a reminder
