Sakura awoke late on Saturday morning. It was already noon. She didn't
care at all. She felt better after being out so late at Li's house. She got
dressed into a white shirt and jeans. She walked downstairs to see her
brother sitting in the family room with her father. Sakura tip toed pass them
and into the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator door and took out some
bread and other items. She quickly made herself a sandwich and walked outside
to Madison's house. She finished her sandwich as soon as she got there.
She rang the doorbell and she answered. "Hey Sakura." Said Madison
letting her inside. "Hey Sakura how you feeling?" asked Madison. "Sore."
Replied Sakura sitting on the couch. "Well guess what I got a new costume for
you." She said holding up a ballerina type costume, which was pink. Sakura
looked at it and stuck her tongue out. "I don't want to go capture Clow cards
in that!" said Sakura. "Come on its perfect and it'll match the shoes." She
said. Madison held up a pair of bale shoes that were also pink. Madison then
pushed Sakura into the bathroom to try it on. When she got out she looked
like she was going to dance. Then Madison pushed her to sit down and began to
do her hair.
"So Sakura how's Li?" asked Madison brushing Sakura's hair. Sakura
blushed a little and then said, "He looked okay when I took him home."
Madison smiled a little and then by accident pulled Sakura's hair. "OUCH!"
shrieked Sakura in pain. "Sorry Sakura." Said Madison with a sweat drop.
After what seemed like forever Madison finished and when Sakura looked at her
hair she almost fainted. "MADISON IT LOOKS HORRIBLE!" shouted Sakura.
Madison placed bows and flowers in her hair, which made Sakura, look
completely stupid. "I'm sorry Sakura here let me fix it!" She said taking it
apart.
After what seemed like another hour Madison was finished. This time
Sakura's hair looked better. It was tied up in a bun and then curled with
little flowers holding it. "There know you keep your hair like that until you
find another card." Said Madison. Sakura groaned and got up. Just then
Madison saw an ad in the newspaper. "Look Sakura there's a carnival." Said
Madison. Sakura looked at the ad. It was true there was a carnival not to far
from here. "Why didn't anyone tell us?" asked Sakura. "It's a traveling
carnival." Said Madison. The girls studied the ad and found out it was a
costume like carnival. Madison got in a cat costume while Sakura stayed in
her costume. The carnival started at three o'clock so they had a while to
wait.
Elsewhere Li was inside his house eating some breakfast when he saw in the
newspaper an ad for the carnival. He looked at it suspiciously and decided to
go after he was done eating. He got but clutched his side. He was still hurt
from the last battle. He slowly placed the dishes in the sink and washed them
and then got upstairs and sat down on his bed. He had a couple of hours so he
decided to rest.
At the carnival the people were setting up the stands and rides. The boss
was what else bossing people around to get everything perfect. People were
rushing around fixing everything. The cooks were cooking fried noodles and
other yummy foods. Then the boss walked pass to see Madame Esmeralda the
physic. She was looking through her crystal ball. "You should be helping the
others not looking at your stupid little ball." He hissed. Esmeralda looked
up from her ball and glared at him. She was wearing a purple skirt, a red
scarf over that, a purple top, which showed her belly and her sleeves. On her
head her head she wore a red and yellow scarf that leaned on the side of her
head. She had a purple jewel on the middle of her forehead and on earring in
her left ear.
As the boss was shouting at her she waved her hands around her ball and
then whispered, "You will be taking a long trip!" The boss laughed and walked
away and as he did he tripped and fell flat on his face. Esmeralda laughed
and then closed a curtain to block her from seeing what she was doing.
Later that day the Sakura and Madison came in their costumes and began to
look around the carnival. They walked around and watched little sideshows and
ate fried noodles. "Hey Sakura want to get your face painted?" asked Madison.
Sakura looked up from her noodles and saw several ladies painting people
faces. "Come on!" said Madison pulling her along. Madison set her down on a
chair and let Sakura get her face painted. Madison sat down next to her and
the girls waited.
When they were done Madison had leaves painted on her face with glitter
on it. Sakura liked it because it looked so really and it was pretty. Sakura
got swirls on her face with blue, white, and light blue. It had glitter to
but maybe too much. "Yours looks great Sakura." Complimented Madison. Sakura
smiled and walked around the carnival. The noticed other people were dressed
in costumes to and it was sort of impossible to tell who worked her and not.
Just then Sakura spotted Li who was dressed in his Card Captor uniform.
"HEY LI!" shouted Madison. Li looked up and saw the two girls walking over to
him. "I'm surprised to see you here after last night." Said Madison. "I'm
fine" Said Li clutching his side. Sakura noticed he was a bit pale but didn't
bother to say anything. "You want to go on some rides with us?" asked
Madison. "Not really." replied Li. "Why you scared?" teased Madison. Li
growled and said, "No, let's go." The three went in line for a roller coaster
and after that on carousal. After that the three headed down to the other end
of the park where the Ferris wheel was. The wheel was big and moved around
while people could stand up inside.
The three stood in line talking and asking what to ride after word.
Sakura and Li got inside and sat down and when the door closed the noticed
Madison wasn't in there. They looked out the window to see her waving at them
and with a huge grin on her face.
The looked at each other and then turned away burning red. Then they started
to go up. They sat opposite of each other and looked out the window. "So how
are you Li?" asked Sakura noticing he was clutching his side. "I'm fine." He
replied not looking at her.
They went around and around for a while and Madison got bored standing
there. She went for a walk and would meet with them later. As she walked she
found a place where barley any people were. Then he saw Madame Esmeralda's
tent. She sat there looking into her crystal ball. Madison walked up to her
and Esmeralda said, "Please sit Madison." Shocked she sat down and Esmeralda
began to look inside her crystal ball. "I see in your future sadness." She
whispered. "You will be angered and run… then confronted by someone who has
angered you." Madison looked at her and noticed Esmeralda was staring at her.
She slowly got up and ran back to find Li and Sakura.
Sakura and Li were eating ice cream when Madison came running. "Hey
Madison." Said Sakura. Madison took several deep breaths then said, "There
was this weird fortune teller and she is so freaky." Said Madison. "A fortune
teller?" Said Sakura. "I want to see." She said running to the tent. Li sat
there and gave Madison her ice cream cone and she sat down and ate it.
Sakura ran to the tent when she saw Minami. Minami was in her uniform and
looked as if she was meditating. "Minami." Said Sakura walking up to her.
"Sakura… I sense something here." She said quietly. "Is it a Clow card?"
asked Sakura. "A deadly one." Replied Minami. Sakura looked around and said,
"I don't sense anything." Said Sakura. Just then she saw Madame Esmeralda's
tent. She stepped out and looked at them. "I knew you'd be coming Sakura… and
you…" Esmeralda trailed off. "Who are you?" asked Sakura. Esmeralda bowed and
then she began to shine purple. "I am the Future Card." She said.
Sakura took out her Key of Clow and shouted, "OH KEY OF CLOW POWER OF
MAGIC SURRENDER THE WAND THE FORCE IGNITE! RELEASE!" The wand became bigger
and Sakura held it out. Minami took out her triton and held it out. "Be
careful Sakura." Said Minami. Sakura took out the Windy Card and shouted,
"WINDY RELEASE AND DISPELL!" The card went out but Future was gone. "Where
did she go?" said Sakura. The Future Card was on top of a platform behind
them. "I knew you'd use Windy." She said. Just then Sakura saw Li behind. He
was about to kick Future when she jumped off the platform. "I saw you
coming!" said Future.
"SAKURA SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!" shouted Li. Sakura
noticed future was still caring her crystal ball and she kept looking at it.
"I GOT AN IDEA LI!" shouted Sakura. Sakura took out the dash and fly card.
"DASH, FLY CARD GIVE LI AND I THE POWER TO STOP FUTURE! RELEASE AND DISPEL!"
she shouted. Suddenly wings appeared on Sakura's wand and Li had the speed of
Dash. "Minami come with me!" said Sakura hopping on her wand. Minami nodded
and jumped on. They flew into the air and then dived down at Future. Li began
fight Li using Dash and Future had a tough time trying to block all their
oncoming attacks which she new would happen.
Just then Li kicked Future's hand and the Crystal ball went flying. The
ball rolled away and Future stood there in daze. "NO I NEED THAT!" she
shouted running over to it. Li dashed in front of her and tossed the Crystal
Ball to Sakura and Minami. Minami caught it and then shouted, "SAKURA WE NEED
LI TO SEAL IT WITH YOU!" Sakura took the Crystal ball then tossed to Li and
dived down. The Future ran and caught the ball but it was to late for her to
run. "FUTURE CARD RETURN TO YOUR POWER CINFINED!" shouted both Li and Sakura.
The Future card gasped and then looked over at Sakura. "I feel sorry for that
boy… his future is grim." Said Future so only Sakura could here. Then she
became a card. "Trap it in the book hurry!" said Minami. The two nodded and
Li pulled out the key while the book magically appeared in Sakura's hands.
The key floated in between Li's hands and then opened the book. Then Sakura
trapped the card inside.
Madison ran up to them holding her camera. "Hey you guys, great capture!"
she said with a big smile. Sakura smiled and then she heard rumbling. The
sky was dark and it was going to rain. "I better get home." Said Minami with
a quick bow. "Bye!" the all said waving to her. She waved back and ran home.
Just then it began to rain. It rained harder and harder as they ran home.
Madison left them to go to her house but Sakura was far from her house and
she would get sick if she stayed out any longer so Li offered her to stay at
his house. Sakura blushed and nodded because they were near Li's house.
Inside Li handed her a towel when they got to his room. He changed in the
bathroom into a white shirt and black short. When he came out he went to his
closet and gave Sakura a sweater and shorts to wear. She changed and came out
and Li noticed she still had her face paint on. It was a little smeared but
he handed her another towel to wipe I off. "I'll go make some tea." Said Li
leaving Sakura in his room. Sakura sat there quietly thinking. Her mind was
on what the future card had said. "I feel sorry for that boy… his future is
grim." Kept running through her mind. She sat the floor staring at the ground
looking sad. When Li returned he carried a tray. He set it on the short table
and sat on the ground opposite of Sakura. He poured her a cup of tea and then
gave it to her. Sakura held it in her hands and but didn't drink it.
Li sipped his tea and noticed Sakura looking a bit sad. "Sakura…" said
Li. Sakura looked up. 'Is anything wrong?" finished Li. "No nothing's wrong
I'm fine." She said sipping her tea. "You seem sad." He said. Sakura shook
her head. "I just wanted to get my fortune told but I didn't get a chance to…
oh well." Said Sakura sipping her tea. A half and hour later the rain died
down and Sakura decided to go home. Li let her wear his clothes because hers
were still wet. She walked home thinking hard about what the future card had
told her. When she got home she saw her brother eating some rolls. "Hey
squirt." He said. "Where have you been?" Sakura took off her shoes and then
said, "No where."
Tori noticed that Sakura was wearing boy's clothes. He got up and stopped
her from going to her room. "Why are you in boy's clothes?" he said raising
an eyebrow. "My clothes were soaked from the rain!" snapped Sakura. She then
pushed Tori out of the way and ran upstairs. She closed the door to her room
and locked the door. She then fell to the floor and began to cry. "Li…" she
whimpered. "What's going to happen to you?" Sakura laid on her carpet crying
for several hours until the phone rang. Tori yelled at her to pick it up and
it turned out to be Madison. She was telling her something about how when she
got her fortune told.
"And the weird part is Sakura." Said Madison taking a breath. "Is that as
soon as I got home my mom and I got in a fight for me being all wet and going
to catch ammonia." Sakura gasped softly. "Then my mom left me alone for a
while then she came and we talked things out." finished Madison. Sakura
wished it wasn't true but it was. She hoped that Li would be okay but she was
wrong. The Future card new something about Li… and whatever it was Sakura was
going to find out what it was.
Li sat in his room cleaning up the tea and then went downstairs to wash
the cups and teapot. When he was finished he went back upstairs. He sat in
his bed and noticed for the first time in a long while his black teddy bear.
He looked at them picked it up. Then Li laid back down on his bed holding the
bear. He had made this a long time ago but never gave it to then he loved. He
placed the bear back down on his nightstand then he clutched his side in pain.
He lifted up his shirt and noticed the cut he got there from sniper. It
was deep red and it didn't seem to get any better. But he put his shirt back
down and laid down sound asleep.
