Nick and Stephiny walked back to Nick's car, with Nick's arm wrapped around Steph's shoulders, happy that he finally told someone. The one thing that scared him was that the rest of the guys would reject him, now understanding why Brian was so scared.
Stephiny was in her on little world trying to figure out whether or not to tell Brian so that he could try and help Nick with his relationship problems and possibly have a chance. Then it hit Steph. Nick was already in love with someone. She just didn't know who.
"Nicky..."
"Yeah?"
"Who is it that you said you were in love with?"
"Um...."
"I promise, I will help you get with them. Trust me, and I won't laugh."
"Well, I don't know."
"Nick. You know that you don't have the balls to talk to this person, so you might as well tell me who it is so that I can talk to them and try and set you two up."
"But if it doesn't work out, I feel like a fool and I will lose a really good friend." Nick argued with her.
They got in the car and Stephiny looked over at him, with a 'you've got to be kidding' look on her face.
"Nick, I've known you too long, and seen you through so many relationships that I want to do what ever I can to make sure that you have what I have with Alex. And I want you to have it as soon as possible."
"But if I tell you it would automatically mean coming out to another person."
"Why would you say that?"
"Because you know this person and you'll tell them."
"Only if I think you have a chance with them."
"What if you think I have a chance with him but I really don't?" Nick asked, letting it slip that it indeed was a guy.
"So, it is a guy." Stephiny smiled, causing Nick's neck to snap in her direction while he drove.
"How....how did you know it was a guy?" Nick stuttered as she pushed his cheek so that he was watching the road again.
"Well, I am your best friend, and well, you know you just said him." Stephiny laughed.
"I did?" Nick asked clueless.
"Sure did Blondie." Stephy laughed.
"Look who's talking." Nick then burst out laughing.
"Well, At least I admit that I'm a dumb blonde." Stephy smiled. "So who is he?"
"I thought you'd forget about that."
"Tough luck. I'm not gonna give up. Come on, it won't be the end of the world if you get rejected."
"Yes it will be. It's like if you and AJ ever broke up. You even told me before, you'd want to kill yourself."
"I know, but you never know if you have a chance unless you ask him. If you want I can ask him if he would ever like to go out with you. If he says no, I'll drop this all. But if he says yes, you have to promise to give it a try."
"Stephy, if we break up if a relationship did build, that's when I'll die."
"Well, it's better to die trying then to have never tried at all."
Nick looked over at his best friend, knowing he's never win.
"Fine. But if you laugh or say anything, I'll swerve off the road." Nick said dead seriously. If even his best friend didn't think he'd have a chance with him, no one should know the secret.
"Go ahead. I know how you are thinking Nick. Remember? I almost jumped off the balcony when I was about to tell you about liking Alex?"
Nick thought it over and knew it was now or never.
