Fame Has It's Price

CHAPTER 6

Brian didn't believe her.

"No. That can't be it." Brian shook off the idea. Then it came to him. The night at the banquet. When Brian had heard Nick throwing up in the bathroom. Everything was starting to fall into place.

"Brian. Listen. My cousin Jason had bulimia. People think that eating disorders only happen to teenage girls, but they are wrong." Leighanne explained.

"That explains why he eats a lot and then needs to use the washroom." Brian blinked back his tears.

"You have to let him know you still love him. Don't tell him that he has an eating disorder, because he will deny it."

"But I want to help. Now I can't help but blame myself." Brian broke down sobbing.

"Baby, it's not you're fault at all." Leighanne soothed.

"Yes it is. I haven't been paying much attention to him at all. What it he kills himself!" Brian's  head jerked up.

"Baby, calm down. Listen. We may have found it before it is too late. Plus, bulimia has a much lower mortality rate then anorexia."

"I only hope we can help him." Brain sighed.

Nick practically ran up to his room and locked himself in the bathroom. He got everything he needed just in case. A towel to mop up, a wet cold face cloth for cool down. Nick poistioned himself in front of the toliet and lifted up both seats. He could almost feel the pizza he had for lunch gathering as fat on his stomach. Nick closed his eyes and in a practiced way, plunged his index and middle finger to the back of his throat, gagging himself until the pizza was gone. Knowing that breakfast was still down there, Nick continued to plurge until everything was emptied from his stomach.

Leaning back against the bath tub, Nick held the cold face cloth up to his forehead. When his world stopped spinning, Nick stood up and got ready for a shower. Pealing his shirt off his body, Nick saw that his hard work over the past year was paying off. Without pulling his stomach in purposly, Nick's ribs could be slightly seen through his skin. But Nick didn't see that. All he saw was fat. Fat. Fat. And more Fat. He also saw his hair thinning and his teeth looking yellow. Nothing a little gel and whitening toothpaste couldn't fix. The one thing he was really pleased about was that no one knew
