Howie sat at the kitchen table and stared at the photo albums he had collected over the
years. CJ had broken up with him after a year and a half.
"Why? Why couldn't we have made it?" Howie whispered to no one. Tears streamed down his face in a never ending river. Even his best friends were unable to cheer him up.
'Just write a song about it.' Nick had said.
' Romance her off her feet so she wants you back.' Both Kevin and AJ had suggested.
'Just don't do anything stupid.' Brian advised.
Howie just didn't know what to do anymore. Sure he had been through many breakups, but never had one effected him so bad.
"CJ. Why couldn't I make you happy?" Howie yelled out in agony as he flipped through photos of them on the special occasions that they had shared together.
There was one of him from this past Easter. They had decided to spend it alone together, no families, so that they could spend it in which ever way that they preferred. The photo stared at him, like looking into a still mirror. He had a drumstick up to his mouth, pretending to be a cave man who had just captured a large dinner.
'Howie don't play with your food.' She scholded, laughing as she took the picture.
'Me no Howie. Me Thor. Me eat Big Bird.' Howie joked
'Fine then, Thor. Don't play with your food.' CJ laughed uncontrollably.
'Okay. Can Thor play with pretty lady with flashy thing?' Howie asked.
'Not until after dinner.' CJ replied and then took a bite of mashed potatoes.
'Thor want play now.' Howie pouted, still using his Thor voice.
CJ couldn't help but laugh.
'Okay, Thor you win." CJ giggled, then kissed Howie, surprising him.
'Okay, pretty lady. Thor horny.' Howie laughed, then chased CJ to their bed room.
Howie had a slight chuckle at the recollection, but then remembered his situation.
Flipping through the photos, Howie came upon another one this one was of CJ asleep. He had taken it as a joke on Christmas morning, before she had woken.
'CJ. Oh, CJ. Come on baby, we have to get up. Mom and Dad are going to be here at 10. We need to make sure everything is cleaned up before they get here,' Howie said, shaking a sleeping CJ's arm.
'Fine, then. I know what will wake you.' Howie smiled, then grabbed the camera out of the drawer.
He quickly snapped the photo and then sure enough, CJ started to roll.
'Howard. Please tell me you did not just take a photo of me.' CJ groaned, rolling over and facing him.
'Maybe I did, maybe I didn't, Christina Joanne.' Howie laughed, then kissed her.
"I can't put my self through this." Howie sighed, then with all his will power ripped the photo in half.
"I will get over her. I will get over her." Howie told himself over and over again, then grabbed a piece of paper and just began writing.

Howie folded the paper and sealed it in an envolope. Making sure his tears didn't stain the note, he wrote CJ's address on it.
On the back of the envolope, he wrote a special message to her.
'CJ. I love you, but i want to know how i fell in love with you.'
