At the video shoot, everything was going well. Nick's acting was going well, and the director absolutely loved the kiss scene with Alex and Nick claiming it was the most real thing he had ever seen.
"Alex, can I speak with you for a second?" Darren asked pulling Alex away from Leighanne Brian and Nick.
"Sure. What's up?" Alex replied and watched as Nick was pulled over to his next scene where he was to be taped looking longingly at a picture of Alex.
"A person from MTV found out about the video shoot and is at the door asking if they can have an interview." Darren explained.
"So, basically it's up to me whether or not they interview me, right?" said Alex as she leaned up against the wall.
"All I am concerned about is the boyfriend question. You have never lied to your fans, so why start now. Are you going to come clean about Nick or are you going to just leave it as it is?"
"Well, I talked to Nick about this last week when we first found out about the joint tour at the end of the tour. I think we'll come clean. I mean it's not like we're both quitting the business and then eloping because I'm pregnant."
"You sure as fuck better hope not." Darren's face went white and then stared bug-eyed at his favorite star.
"Don't worry Darren. I haven't slept with Nicky since we got back together." Alex laughed.
"You two slept together when you were together before?" Darren asked quite dumbfounded.
"Um...." Alex began to blush. "Well, we were together for like 3 and a half years."
"That's no excuse. You know I over see every aspect of your career. I don't want you actually having to live that story out." Darren scholed as they walked over to the room where the interviewer was seated, taking a final look at his notes, the tape recorder on the table next to him.
"Alex, this is Lucas McDillon." Darren said and then left the two of them alone, but kept the door open so that Nick wouldn't go insane looking for Alex.
"Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you, Alex." Lucas said, standing up and shaking Alex's hand.
"Nice to meet you too." Alex smiled then sat down in front of the table.
"So, you're okay doing this interview on such short notice?"
"Of course." Alex said and then watched Lucas press record."I actually prefer the surprise interviews because then I am not prepared for any of the questions, so the fans know that it is actually me answering the questions, not my management talking through my body."
"Ah.. So the tour is going well. Didn't you used to open for the Boys a long time ago?"
"Yeah. About three years ago when I was still relatively unknown. It's just like old times with the 5 guys I pretty much grew up with."
"So, If I was about to ask you who of the guys you're closest to, you would say?"
"AJ and Nick." Alex replied not missing a beat.
"And why would you say that?"
"Well, AJ and I became really close in the beginning because of the whole name thing and the fact that we're both insane. And as for Nick, well, like 6 months after I joined the tour for the first time, he asked me out and we were together for 3 years."
"Oh. So you two are no longer an item?"
"Actually we broke up due to not having much creative control or much of a say in the other aspects of our careers, and now that we both have a lot more say in our work and now that we're on this tour together, we rekindled the flame and made all the other couples jealous."
"SO how long were you broken up for?"
"3 years."
"Okay. So all the rumors are true about the two of you?"
Alex then lost it. She reached over and pressed pause on his recorder. "Listen Mr.
McDillon. I know you are interested in mine and Nick's now public relationship, but you
came here to interview me not my love life. You have now gotten all the information about
the relationship you will have gotten from both me or Nick. Now if you would like to
continue this interview about my music, then feel free to stay. But if you came here just
to get information on my love and personal lives, I suggest you should leave right
now." Alex then sat back down in front of her interrogator.
