"Alex..." Nick whispered as they sat down in each others arms.
"Yes, babe." She replied, leaning her head on his shoulder, resting her eyes.
"Do you want to go back to the hotel and have a nap? We didn't sleep much last night." asked Nick as her stroked her long blond hair.
"Um, aren't we going out for dinner with the gang?" Alex opened her eyes and looked at her boyfriend.
"Do we really want to? I mean they probably wouldn't care if we asked to spend the night alone together." Nick smiled, rubbing his hand up and down her arm.
"Well, since you put it that way..." Alex grinned then leaned in and gave Nick a passionate kiss.
"You two get a room." Leighanne and Brian yelled across the venue, looking up from their embrace.
"Like you two should talk!" Alex laughed.
"Hey, now Alex. You know we have to respect our elders." Nick whispered.
"I heard that Nicky! You are gonna get it the next time I'm near you!" Leighanne yelled.
"You are gonna stay away from my boyfriend!" Alex laughed.
"No thanks! I prefer my men to be mature!" Leighanne giggled, squeezing her fiancé's arm.
"And I prefer my men to have a penis!" Alex yelled back then ran out of the room as she heard Brian yell death threats towards her.
Nick ran out of the room after Alex, laughing his head off.
"Alex, Brian is standing there on the stage with his pants around his ankles and Leighanne looking in his boxers." Nick laughed.
"Really? Um, maybe I will take up your offer to go back to the hotel and not go to the restaurant." Alex whispered, stifling a yawn.
"That's a good idea. Let's go before they find out that we are just standing out here." Nick told her.
Nick and Alex laid on the bed facing one another.
"We haven't done this in so long." smiled Alex.
"I know. It's been too long." Agreed Nick.
"You know what else we haven't done in a long time." Alex looked at Nick with her emerald eyes in a seductive manner.
"Are you sure?" Nick asked, rolling over so that he was on top of her.
"Nick. I love you. I want nothing more then our love to be rekindled in the most intimate way." Alex grinned, pulling Nick's t-shirt off with ease.
"Alex. Are you positive and you aren't just wanting to have sex with someone?" Nick asked as Alex flipped them over and kissed the tip of his nose.
"I don't know Nick. I love you so much, and it's not like we never did that before. I'm so happy being back with you, I want to be with you in every possible way right now." Alex confessed, rolling off him and hiding her tears from him.
"I love you so much too, and I want this for us too, but I just...Your hearts not in it, babe. You're doing it because you think that it's what I want." Nick said, pulling her into his arms.
Alex looked over at him and smiled gently.
"You've always been able to see right through me." Alex grinned and gave Nick a kiss.
"And I always will be able to." Nick whispered in her ear. A silence of contentment over took the room leaving Alex and Nick laying in the others arms.
"Nick..." Alex trailed off.
"Yes?" Nick replied, looking directly at her with loving eyes.
"Do you remember the day at the airport? What we promised each other?" Alex asked hoping he did.
"Yes. We said I'll Love You Always." Smiled Nick. "Why?"
"That's why I wrote the song, to honor our promise and keep my hopes alive. Everytime I sing it, that's what I see. I've still got to shoot the video for it, next week. I was wondering if I could use that as the concept."
"I'd be honored." Nick whispered as Alex smiled one last time and fell asleep.
