A day before the tour started, everyone was in management's New York Office: Alex, Brian, AJ, Kevin, Howie and Nick. Amanda was there because she was going to be the opening act, but all the dancers were waiting outside for the meeting after this. Right now, they were just discussing who was singing what.
"Amanda, make sure you ask who is performing first and second before you go on." Her manager, Irene, said.
"Okay." Amanda nodded.
"Great. Now let’s get everyone in here." Darren said. Irene opened the door, and then Linna, Alice, Ebony and Melanie walked in. Leighanne followed then all the dancers for the Backstreet Boys; Serenity, Erin, Tanya, Tatiana, Zoë, Mike Jon, Danny, Jake and Josh. Leighanne was filling in for the stylist who had a baby only 2 days ago.
"Okay. I have bad news." Jared, the Boys manager said.
"What kind of news?" Erin asked.
"Well, we were not able to rent enough buses." Darren explained.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Nick questioned, getting a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"Well, European tours are in full swing right now, so buses are hard to come by." Darren explained. "WE were only able to book three buses and there is no chance of us getting more. A ten-bunk bus will be for the 9 female dancers; a 6-bunk bus will be for the 5 male dancers and the 8-bunk bus will be for Alex, The Boys, Amanda and the stylist. The band will fly everywhere, as well as the publistist. Is his okay with you?"
"They're great!" Leighanne and Alex exclaimed in unison, then looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"God, I would hate to see the tow of tem when they were younger." AJ laughed. Just then, Alex and Leighanne turned to AJ and stuck their tongues out at him.
"Well, it just goes to show you that anyone named Alex is immature." Howie joked.
"Let's just get back down to business. So everyone has a schedule?" Jared asked.
"Yup." Everyone replied.
"Hey!" AJ whined, finally catching on to Howie's joke. "I'm gonna get you back on of these days D. Watch when you sleep." AJ grumbled, causing everyone to burst out laughing.
The next day, everyone was getting packed on the plane, which left at 4:30 that afternoon. Allyson had flown up to wish sister off and to see her cousin again. Just the 2 of them had gone out for lunch and hung around together all morning to get caught up.
"You 2 have fun on the tour. And don't forget to call and write lots." Allyson told both.
"Don't worry. I will." Alex joked like she always did. The 3 had a hard time leaving one another until Darren came over and told Leighanne and Alex to get on the plane now or it would leave without them. They finally said their good-byes; the Alex and Leighanne got on the plane.
"Well, I'll see you again when we land Alex. I have to go make sure that Brian hasn't gone anymore insane that before. Talk to you in a few hours Ally." Leighanne said, getting to her seat, calling Alex a special nickname only 2 people were allowed to call her. Alex nodded then walked to the back of the plane where Alice, Linna, Ebony and Melanie were sitting.
Nick heard Leighanne call Alex that and sighed. He figured that Leighanne was the only other person allowed to call her that. He remembered Alex telling him that he was allowed to call her that, and it was a special nickname only one other person was allowed to call her that, all this happening on their 6-month anniversary when they were 14. Nick then looked down at Serenity, who was asleep up against his shoulder. No matter how many times she said that she loved him and he repeated it back, he knew it was a lie. Nick didn't love Serenity, he loved Alex.
