Nick And I

*Flashback*

 "Karen! Come find me" Nick yelled

"Nick where did you go?" I said as I looked around the backyard, we were playing hide-n-seek and I finally found him, he was behind the chair.

*End flashback*

Now a few years have passed and Nick and I was still inseparable.

"Karen I have to tell you something we're moving" Nick said sadly as we sat on the patio.

"Why? When?" I asked

"I got called to be in a singing group and the whole family is moving to Florida. We leave next month on the 30th." Nick said. I just ran into the house and shut my bedroom door. A few minutes later I heard Nick talking to me through the door as I sat on my bed, angry at the world. He finally gave up and went to his house next-door. I looked out my window and saw Nick come in in his room and sit on his bed, putting his face into his hands. I didn't know if he was crying or if he was just frustrated with me. A month later they moved and I didn't hear from Nick for awhile.

*A few years later*

"Hey your watching MTV and the new rising pop group have been making girls scream with just a smile. Here is Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorogh, Brian Littrel, AJ McLean and the baby of them all Nick carter with 'as long as you love me'" the TV VJ said. My friend Angelina and I were watching

"Did he say Nick Carter?" I asked her

"Yeah he's a Backstreet Boy. They are some new group." She said as the video came on. I saw an older version of Nick

"Mom! Mom! Come here!" I yelled

"What is it?" She asked

"Do you still have Mrs. Carter’s number in Florida?" I asked her

"Yeah why?" She said

"That is Nicky! My Nicky! The boy I grew up with! I need to call her!" I exclaimed my mom got the number and gave it to me

"Whoa girl explain!" Angelina said. I told her the story of Nick and I. I called the number to the Carter's

"Hello?"A female voice came over the phone

"Hi is Mrs. Carter there?" I asked

"Yes this is she may I ask who is calling"

"This is Karen Sons I was your next-door neighbor when you lived in Cali. Do you remember me?"

"Yeah Karen it is so nice to hear from you! How is your mom?"

"She’s fine. I was calling to ask you about Nick. Is he in Backstreet Boys? I thought I saw him but I wasn't sure if that was him"

"Yes that's him. He hated it after we moved. He missed you an awful lot. If you'd like I can get you a backstage pass for a concert in LA."

"Really? That would be great! When is it?"

"A week from tomorrow in LA center. Do you think your mom would like to go with you? I'll get one extra for your mom or a friend."

"Thank you that would be terrific! Do you think you could not tell Nick? I want it to be a surprise."

"Sure sweetie. I'll send the stuff to your house. It should be there sometime soon." She said and we hung up

"Mom! Guess what! Mrs. Carter offered to get me 2 backstage passes to a concert of Nick’s in LA! Can I go? Please? I want to surprise him!" I begged my mom.

"Yeah I guess but you can take a friend I'm not going with you I will drive you up there and you call me when the concert is over and I'll come get you." My mom said and left

"Want to go to the concert with me?" I asked Angelina and she nodded

*A week later*

*Nick’s pov*

I haven't been here in awhile. I really want to go visit Karebear

"Hey you guys do you think we will have time to go somewhere tomorrow morning? Please?" I asked the guys.

"Maybe I don't know if we can but we'll try. Why? Where do you want to go?" Kevin asked.

"Do you remember when I told you guys about a friend of mine that I missed so much and when I moved we left on really bad terms, you know Karebear?" I told them and they nodded, "well she lives kind of close and I wanted to see her, you know to tell her I was sorry for leaving her without a goodbye. You guys don't know how much she meant to me" I said and looked out the window and became silent until we got to the hotel.

*Karen's pov*

After the concert we went backstage and went into a room with a bunch of other people and waited for the guys. Soon we heard some commotion and saw 5 guys come in. when I saw Nick I became nervous and had butterflies in my stomach. They made their way around the room shaking peoples' hands. We were last but soon Nick came up and I gave him a piece of paper to sign.

"Can you make it out to Karen or Karebear if you prefer?" I asked as I handed it to him.

"Karebear? Is it really you!?" He asked and I nodded. He hugged me and swung me around.

"I've missed you so much Nicky! I'm sorry about what I did before you moved I wanted so badly to tell you bye but I couldn't I thought you hated me for what I did" I told him as I almost started crying

"I could never hate you! Remember all the times we played in our tree house and went swimming. Do you remember when I joked with you and you thought I drowned?"

"Yeah I got so mad at you! You scared the hell out of me! Remember when we got a picture of Heather and Aaron asleep in the floor together on one of our sleepovers and we put shaving cream on them!?" I said "Yeah! That was funny I still having that picture. Remember what I started calling you instead of Karebear?" He asked me

"Babygirl! I loved that name!" I told him

*2002*

Nick and I became great friends even more so since we were younger. Nick asked me not too long ago if I would tour with them and I did. AJ and I started dating and he proposed to me and I accepted. Soon I will be Karen McLean.

*1 yeah later*

"Nick! Alex and I need you to come over, bring the rest of the guys too!" I told him on the phone and hung up with him. They all came over and sat down. I sat on Alex's lap and held his hand.

"Alex and I need to tell you this; you are all going to be uncles." I said

Rounds of "That’s great" and "Congratulations" were heard.

*1 yeah later*

Alex and I had a baby girl and we named her Nikki after my long time friend Nick. Nick loves Nikki to death and vise versa.
