This tutorial was written using
Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. It can be done
in version 8 with slight modifications. Get a
trial version here.
My zipped file. Get it here.
Unzip my ice cream canvas to a folder.
Remember to save often!
1. Open the CM Dish of Ice Cream canvas.

V=0
H=2

far.

4.
Click on the icecream layer. You want
the bowl and rim above the ice cream.
Selections>Load from Alpha Channel>CM03icecream.
Fill with color #F8F4EA. Invert and apply
a Drop Shadow of,
V & H=0
Opacity=60
Blur=37
Color=#EBDE90
Deselect.
Effects>Noise>Add use setting of 8
and Uniform checked. If using version 8
you may want to experiment a little by using a lower number
to see what looks best. Duplicate this layer
three times. Starting from the bottom up
rename them Scoop1, Scoop2, Scoop3, and
Scoop4. Hide Scoop2, 3, and 4. Using your
Mover tool move Scoop1 to the left edge
and down a little. Show Scoop2 and leave
it where it is. On the Scoop3 layer
resize that layer only to 85%. Move it to
the right. On Scoop4, resize it to 90%
and move it down a little. I've numbered
the scoops so you can see my placement.
Feel free to do your own placing.

5. Now to get rid of the excess bowl rim.
You may need to zoom in...I did. I also
lowered the opacity of the rim layer to
around 28 so I could see the ice cream
through it.
Using your Lasso tool set to Point to
Point, Feather 0, and Antialias checked,
click along the icecream scoop edge then
back around to the edge. Press Delete
once and repeat on the other side. Set
the Layer opacity back to 100% when you
are finished.

You can now merge your layers and tube your dish
of ice cream.
I hope you have enjoyed making your ice cream.
