Casper was born on December 18th , 1968, in Ridgefield, New Jersey. He entered Florida State University to study medicine but dropped out after 2 years to become an actor instead. Moved to Los Angeles and didn't have to wait for long until offers started popping up. He landed some small parts on television screen one on the daytime soap opera One Life To Live and then on prime-time television show Beverly Hills 90210. Later he has gotten bigger roles in movies such as Starship Troopers, Shark attack and Sleepy Hollow. He married actress Carrie Mitchum in 1993 but they divorced in 1997. In May of 1999 he married Catherine Oxenburg also she an actress.
