THE NEWCOMER

I was at the mall one day walking by a store when I saw something in the window that caught my eye. It was a small cube, small enough to fit in your hand, and blue. I was trying to think where I had seen it, then it hit me, the construction site; the construction site where an injured andalite prince gave me, Marco, my cousin Jake, Cassie, and Tobias our morphing capabilities. Later that day, we all meet in cassie’s barn (one of our usual meeting places). Jake said, "Rachel, are you sure it was what you where thinking of?" "Yes", I said "I’m sure". "Then I think we should go get it, before it falls into the wrong persons hands", said Marco. I turned and looked at Marco, "I have an idea. We send you in, then we can watch you squirm." "Ha ha ha", Marco laughed sarcasticly. "I have a better idea, WE send YOU in and watch YOU squirm." "Ok you two knock it off", Jake said. Jake is the leader of our small band. We didn’t vote on who would be our leader or anything like that; it’s just Jake is the kind of guy you’d turn to in a tough situation. Well since I’ve already introduced Jake, I might as well introduce everyone. Marco makes jokes most of the time especially when we’re in a crisis. Then there’s Cassie, my best friend, a kind caring person. Every time I get out of control, I expect Cassie to be there to calm me down. Then there was when we met Joe Bob Festerne, second richest man in the world, who turned out to be a controller. A cannibal. Instead of soaking kandrona rays every three days, he ate a Yeerk. At the time, I was what you might say frozen. Cassie asked Jake to kill Festerne, but Jake refused. The next day the guy’s mansion burns down. Weird. And I wasn’t even awake to be in it! Then I guess there’s Tobias. He was once trapped as a red-tailed hawk but the ellimist, an old friend of ours, gave him back his morphing abilites. He is also able to morph into his human body but only for two hours if he stays longer he'll be trapped; no longer able to morph. Then the last of our band, Ax. His real name is Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill. We call him Ax for short and you can see why. He’s an Andilite a word which can’t be found in any dictionary and neither can the words Yeerk, Hork-bajer, Taxxon, and so on. So back to the story…………..

The next day we were all in the mall (with Ax and Tobias in their human morphs). "It’s over here". Soon we were standing in front of the shop. "So are we going in or not?", asked Marco. I said, "I guess we’ll all go in" So we went in the shop and walked up to the counter. The man at the counter asked, "May I help you?" "yes," I said. " We would like to know how much that blue square in the window costs," That costs $10.00" So I pulled $10.00 out of my pocket and gave it to him." Would you like it in a bag?"I said,"yes"So he put it in a bag and gave it to me. As soon as we got out of the store I said,"Lets go sit over there" We walked over and sat down at a table.Marco asked,"So now that we have it WHAT are WE going to do with IT?" Jake said, "Marco, I guess we’ll put it somewhere where no one can find it" "Now wait a minute!" "what if we could create another animorph with this cube!!" "Now rachel""You know it’s MY job to do stuff like that not YOURS"that was marco of course"well marco I guess I’m stealing your job!""alright you two knock it off!"that was jake.jake went on,"Maybe we can do what rachel suggested!""It may be possible""Ax is it possible?"Ax said,"well I don’t know exactly.ex.act.ly.eggs-act-ly.eggz-act-ly.ha ha ha.We could possibly do it.it-a.i.t.it.""Boy are you asking the wrong guy!"I said,"Well I guess the only way to know is to try. What do you think ax? Should we try it?""It’s worth a try.t-ry.try."

The next day we were all in the woods (except for tobias who was out hunting)." So do we do it or not?"i asked.Jake said," I guess we’ll try it.ok every one put one hand on one side each. Isn’t that right ax?" <I do belive so ,prince jake>" Have I metioned don’t call me prince?"<yes,prince jake>" All right now what??"I said,"I guess we concentrate on a person and I guess they’ll appear"<I do belive that would be correct.> Suddenly movement. Tobias yelled at us <Uh,guys we have company!It’s about 20 hork-bajer,20taxxons, and 30 humans. The humans and taxxons are armed with dracon beams!>I said," WE HAVE TO GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!""Too late"suddenly we were surrounded……………….

Suddenly HE steped out dauntily in his andilite body,Visser Three.<What the!Humans!No not humans andilites so morph out of those forms.NOW!><Guys!I have an idea.Aquire ax.It’s the only way for them to not know your human!><Tobias is right.All of you absorb my dna.Now!I know you don’t want to but do it!It’s your only chance!I have given you MY permission so do it!>So we all absorbed Ax’s dna then we began to morph him.It was amazing!Andilites bodies are macnificent!But I better get back to the story.<You,you,and you.Take them to the blade ship>Then a taxxon slithered up and said something to Visser Three<Yes,there should be.You,you,you,you,and you.go and search for a brown and tan bird with a red tail!>"excuse me Visser."<What is it!>"I belive the bird is called a red-tailed hawk and there could be millions of them in this one area"<Yes.All of you go and bring back every red-tailed hawk you find!Don’t kill them though.I want the other andilite alive!Now Go!Before I get angry!><Take them to a holding chamber and ……..put up…….a non………field so………………morph…………anything.Got it?Now go!>So there we were 4 humans and an andilite in a holding chamber in the Vissers blade ship<I think we should morph back>cassie said<Guys we can’t morph back!!!!!!><Now I wonder why>I said sarcasticly.<Rachel will you PLEASE be serous for once!We can’t morph back to human and WERE TAKING OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How worse can it get!!!!!!><Marco>Jake said<PleasePLEASE don’t say that!><Why??><Because whenever someone says how worse can it get it GETS WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!><Guys we need to get a grip!We can’t morph,were on the blade ship,and we have no idea where were going.What are we going to do?><I have a sugestion>Eveyone asked<What?>I said<We bust outta here and kick some yeerk tail!!!Cuz I would REALLY LIKE TO DO SOME DAMAGE WITH AN ANDILITE TAIL!!!!!!!><You know I totally agre with rachel>everyone turned and looked at marco<Duh WHAT??!!>

I stared at marco with disbelif<YOU agre with ME!That’s impossible!You NEVER agre with ME!!!!!!><Rachel take a chill pill girl.If marco says he agres with you then he agres with you but what we need to focus on now is HOW to get outta here>I belive I can manage that.Everyone turned and looked and standing in front of us was the Ellimist.<What do YOU want?>I asked.Nothing.<Really>I was going to get you all out of here but if you don’t want me to……<NO!!!><I mean CAN you get us out of here?>Of course I can but I don’t know IF you could morph out of that form.<What do you mean>I mean if I get you all out of here I don’t know if you could morph back to your true forms."Visser!!!!!!!!We have found the other andilite bandit!!!"<Good.Put it with the other ones>"Yes Visser"<What tha…..where did he go?><I guess he left><Tobias,Tobias are you ok??><Is he ok?><How should I know!><Will you let me through!!>We all parted and let cassie through.She nelt down and inspected tobias.She said<Don’t worry he’s fine.He should wake up in a while I suggest WE get some sleep><I totally agre with you cassie but someone should watch while the rest of us sleep><All right I’ll take first watch>I said.So I stood there and watched for a while then I went and woke up marco and when he said what I said<It’s your turn to watch>so after he got up I lad down and went to sleep.When I woke up which was very rough I was looking straight at a hork-bajer!He said"get up."So I got up and we had to walk down a hall a VERY long hall<So does any one know where were going?>Marco asked.We all shook our heads.Soon we came to a door a voice from inside said"Come in"The hork-bajer pushed us inside and quikly shut the door.There was a desk and a chair in the room we were in.The chair wasn’t facing us so we didn’t know who was in the chair.Suddenly the chair turned around.Completely around."So the mighty andilite bandits I have caught you at last!"We all knew the person in the chair now…….Visser One

I couldn’t belive it!We were standing right in front of Visser One."So your not so brave now are you andilites?"she asked us.Non of us answered.suddenly Jake stepped forward<What is it you want from us Visser One?>He said these words with discust like any REAL andilite should.She said"What do I want?You have to ask what I want.Why I want this world,this planet.That’s what I want."Cassie said<Well you can’t have it>Visser One said"Now why can’t I?"<Because we won’t let you.That’s why>Cassie said in return."Well I’m sorry but I’m going to take it."Then I stepped forward<You won’t take it unless we’re dead!>Visser One smilled evilly."Now we wouldn’t want that would we.Besides I don’t want you dead.I want you by my side as controllers.And I may even take one of your bodies this human body is so weak."That’s when Marco had had enough<You slimeball!Don’t you know who I am?Go ahead guess.WHO am I?><Uh,Marco>Suddenly he lept and had his tail blade agianst Visser One’s neck.He said<Don’t make a sound.don’t even make a move.Because if you do guess what I cut your throught>He said to us<Make sure no one comes in>So we all made sure that no one came in.Then Marco siad to Visser One<Now you stinking yeerk slug.Come on out of your hosts head or you’ll be dead any way.So either way you die.So which one do you pick climb out of your hosts head and be finished quickly or die slowly in your hosts head.So which one will it be?>Visser One said"Well I guess I’ll have a quick death"Suddenly Visser One’s host screamed and screamed and screamed.Finally the yeerk came out and Marco killed it quickly.Suddenly Visser One’s host or Marco’s Mother got back to concisness."What tha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Andilite bandites?What are…….oh yes now I remember.Can you get me out of here?"Jake came in and said<Of course we can get you out of here but you’ll have to do something>Then he explained what she had to do.She said"All right lets do it."Marco said<Oh man!Rachel she’s stealing your saying!>So we walked into the hall behind Visser One to the downshaft where the escapepods were.But Marco’s mother stoped us.She said"We can’t leave in the escapepods that would make them suspicous.We’ll have to leave another way.Come on."So we followed here down another hall until we came to a large room with a spaceship in it.Then Marco’s mother said"That’s our ticket out of here"pointing to the spaceship.So we all piled in the spaceship she call Galaxy Glider.I asked<So do you know how to fly this thing?>She answered"Of course I do but maybe one of you could help me."Ax stepped forward to help her.<All right we are now in space and heading toward earth>I said<Thank goodness!>Jake then said<All right guys I think it’s time we……..>I tapped him on the shoulder.He turned his stalk eyes around and looked at me<What?>I said speaking directly to him<Do you think we should morph back in front of her because if she knows what we really are she can never be taken back by the yeerks>He said<It’s a chance we’ll have to take>Then he began to demorph.Cassie turned and saw him<Jake!!!!!!What in tha world are you doing?!>Jake said<What am I doing?I’m morphing!What does it look like I’m doing?>She said<But………..>He then said<Now we ca………..>Then he crossed the line from thought speech to human speech.He started again"So as I was saying we can’t go walking around as andilites can we?"I said<Well Jake of course we can’t!>Then he said"Then you all start morphing except for you Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill!You will land then morph understood?"Ax answered<Yes sir!>I walked over to Jake"Now Jake what are you doing""I’m acting like a leader.What do you think I’m acting like?"So after Ax morphed to human we all walked out of the spaceship which had a cloaking device which we turned on.Then we walked into town.

So while they went inside we went around the building to talk"All right"Jake said"We need to get to the woods just in case the yeerks are looking for us""Oh we are"Suddenly Visser Three was standing there in his human morph………….

The dracon beam fired and hit Visser Three. I yelled"Yes!"Marco’s mother turned and said to me"Nice very nice.Now shall we go"I said"I think we shall"Suddenly a perigren falcon landed on the railing.Jake(the perigren falcon)said<So now what are we going to do with him??>I said"You’re the leader!Think of something!"<All right Rach.Don’t have a breakdown>Jake said<Ok lets take him to the woods.You all morph back to your human forms now!!!!!!!!!!>Jake flew around the corner then morphed back stayed there for a while so it would seem like he was morphing twice.Then when he came back he said"Ok lets get him into the woods.Ok 1,2,3 heave!!!!!!!"So we carried him to the woods where when he came to he immediately morphed back to his andilite form then began to morph again.Ax pressed his tail blaid to his throat and said<Move a muscle and I’ll cut your head off.>Visser 3 said?<If you cut off my head what are you going to do with my head?>Jake morphed into Ax then came back and said to Visser 3<We don’t want your head we just want you dead>Visser 3 said<But why????> I then said, "He’s playing with you Prince Vasrin" Marco whispered in my ear, "You just made that up!!" I said in his ear, "Just call him that!!!" He whispered in my ear again "Well what are our names??" I said, "I’ll think of some." He said, "Ok Xena.Think of us some andilite names" I rolled my eyes and thought oh boy. So we left Ax and Tobias to guard Visser 3. Then when we had nearlly got to Cassie’s farm I said, "Ok we need andilite names." Cassie said, "What kind of name??" I said, "Just think of one!! But make sure that it’s not a name so that the Visser can think that the andilite bandits he’s been chasing are humans." So when I got home my mom said, "Young lady!!!!!!!! Where have you been?!?! I’ve been worried sick!!!!!!!!" I said, "Mom chill." She said, "All right Rachel but from now on I don’t won’t any more staying out late on a school night. Got it??"I said, "Yey mom.Sorry I worried you."" It’s ok dear." So after that I went up to my room to do homework and think of an andilite name for myself.Finally I got one."That’s it!!"I said, "My andilite name is going to be Tyran-Camra-Esgarrouth.!!!!!!"

The next day we meet at the mall. Jake said"So did everyone think of a name?" Just as he said that Joshua Cole walked by. When he heard Jake say that he turned and walked over and asked, "Hey Jake. What do you mean by names? You already have one! What do you….hey! I’ve never seen you two in school. What your names??" He was talking to Tobias and Ax. Ax said, "I’m Jake’s cousin Phillip." Tobias said, "And I’m Jake’s friend Tobias." Joshua said, "Well nice to meet you. Goodbye all uv ya." I leaned down and said, "That was WAY too close. We nearly got found out by tha most disscusting guy in tha school!" Jake said, "Like I was saying. Has everyone thought of a name?" Cassie, Tobias, Marco,& Me said yes. Jake said, "Well I guess that takes care of our name problem. Lets meet in the woods, Tobias’s meadow,5:30. Ok so do something till then." Marco said, "Like what? Go tell a police men that the world is being invaded by slugs from another planet? Or tell him that your so called cuz is actually an alien?" I said, "Marco, just go play a video game" Marco said, "Ok that’s fine with me" After that, Marco & Jake went to play video games,Tobias,Cassie & Ax were leaving the mall together. Suddenly when they had nearlly gotten to the door some of the guys from school came out from hiding and kept them from leaving. Tobias looked up through the glass up into the sky then turned his head slightly and saw me looking down. His eyes said Rachel come down here and help us. Just then one of the guys punched Tobias in the stomach making him fall to the ground. I said to myself ALL RIGHT!THAT’S IT!NOW YOU’VE MADE ME MAD! I ran down the stairs and toward they were standing. One of the boys said, "Hey Tom! Look! It’s Rachel." He asked me, "Whatcha want a date?" I said, "No." He then said, "What do ya want then?" I said"I know what you want." "What?" "A punch in the head!" Craack!!!!!!! After that he was rolling on the floor balling as mall shoppers looked at us. I helped Tobias up and said"Come on. You and Ax need to get out of here." We then got out of there as fast as we could before the mall police came. As soon as we got to the woods Tobias and Ax demorphed. Then Cassie went home & me,Tobias,& Ax went to Tobias’s meadow. We waited there until the others arrived. Then Jake asked"Ok who’s going to tell there name first?" Tobias said<My andilite name is Sylan-Shirinal-Shamlang> Marco said, "I guess I’ll say mine. My andilite name is Carpan-Eratan-Kalmain." Cassie went next. She said, "My andilite name is Carpa-Keltana-Sarama." Jake then said his name. "My andilite name is Vasrin-Shamutal-Isthill" It was my turn. I said, "Ok my andilite name is Tyran-Camra-Esgarrouth" Jake said, "All right make that my name is Prince Vasrin-Shamutal-Isthill" I said"I think it’s time we go check on Visser 3 don’t you guys think so?" They all nodded there heads. When we had nearly got there I said"Wait! Don’t we need to morph back to our true forms prince?" Jake said, "All of you morph back to your true forms. Now!" So we all morphed to our andilite forms and then went to see Visser 3. When we got there all we found that Visser 3’s host was free of his yeerk and the real Visser 3 was dead. So we explained everything to Visser 3’s host and Marco’s mom nor Visser 3’s host could be captured again. So Ax and Alloran(Visser 3’s hosts name)lives in the woods and Ax told him about Elfangors death and all that we had been through. None of us told our parents about what we were given by the andilte prince. When we grew up Jake and Cassie got married and had a child. But that’s another story.
