Ralph Rodriguez Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rodriguez, Box 84, Bernalillo, is with the U.S. army forces in the Philippine Islands. His parents received a letter Dec. 20 from their son. Last word concerning him was a message from the War Department a few days ago in which they were informed that he was not listed as a casualty. The soldier attended business college in Albuquerque.

Ralph Rodriguez was rescued from Cabanatuan prisoner-of-war camp in January 1945 in a successful and daring raid by US Army Rangers led by Lieutenant Colonel Henry Mucci. In 1964, he served as the National Commander of the American Ex-Prisoners of War organization.
