From the prison camps in the Philippines and
Japan to the cities and towns of New Mexico,
the soldiers and their families survived.
The soldiers strengthened by their common
identity as New Mexicans, survived by
reminding each other of their families,
friends, and common experiences back home.

Foundation of New Mexico Inc.; identified himself
among these men. In front of the cement column in
the upper right, he is the third man straight down
and in line with that column with a large bandage on
his head. Mr. Miller died in June, 2008.
