MAKE A PLAN, SAM!! (Part IV)
Pre-requisites: Plan, parts I, II, and III

AND NOW IT'S TIME TO RESEARCH THE THREE TO FIVE CAREERS YOU坦E INTERESTED IN.
For each of your choices, you need to find out several things, so you値l need to take notes on each career. First, the place to begin finding out about your choices is:
www.explore.cornell.edu/careers/explorin.htm
There you will find many places to find information about specific careers. You may change career ideas at any time you choose. In other words, if one of the careers you named in Plan, Part III, now doesn't appeal to you for some reason, no big deal! Just choose another ~ when you finish, you need to have three careers in mind.
Second, you need to know what you have to find out about each career. Those are listed below:
Knowledge and Training Required
Skills Required to Perform Job, e.g., problem-solving, computer
Duties and Responsibilities
Working Conditions, e.g., hours, environment, physical demands, level of stress
Salary Range
Opportunities for Advancement

When you feel comfortable that you know enough about those three to five career choices and that those are the right choices for you, you have a choice for assignment two. You can do either ONE of the following:

I値l be visiting with you to be sure you truly understand each career AND I値l be trying to help you narrow down your choices even further. I値l also try to give you some possibilities about how to make your dream become your reality.
OR
~You can write a paper which describes all of the information about each career to turn in. At the end, tell me what you think your next steps should be to make your own dream become your reality.
