The "SUMMER LEAGUE" is designed to allow for all of us to be able to enjoy our recreation while the USIBL is in progress.

The "Rules" and the "League" will be set up as follows:

10 teams total. 5 Eastern and 5 Western Division teams.

Each player in the League will be assigned a "Total Upgrade Points" to start the season. These points can be placed on your player as you see fit. (the upgrade points will be determined by the "Winter League" upgrades, winning weekly and season awards, all-star selection, league leaders in stats categories, player activity and overall performance of the player) CLARIFICATION: Every player will have "ZERO" points, then they will be given their Starting "Total Upgrade Points", and that's where we will all start the season.

Once the 10 teams "Rosters" are set, and the assigned upgrade points are placed, then upgrading from that point on will be as follows:

There are 7 possible ways of upgrading a player. (give or take)

EACH player will be awarded 10 points per week to place on his player, as he sees fit. (like we did during the All-Star break, except it will be 10 points per week) If a player is inactive for any reason, the Owners will be able to add these 10 points to his teams inactive players for them.

PICKEM'S for games: 12 points possible if you get all 5 picks right. 10 plus 2 bonus. (any PBP's or Halftime trivia, etc. COULD earn additional points)

GUESS the STAT LEADERS for the games: The five STAT categories will be: POINTS, REBOUNDS, ASSISTS, STEALS & BLOCKS. (2 points for each correct LEADER guess, 1 point if your guess was SECOND in the category for the games, and a 2 point bonus if you correctly picked all 5 LEADERS.

FREESTYLIN' is awarded up to 5 points and can be done 2 times per week. Info and instructions on the Message Board.

"Bonus Points" for performance of a player (i.e. 20 points in a game, 10 rebounds in a game, etc) will awarded and you will need to send them in just as you have been doing.

Endorsement points. One (1) Endorsement point awarded for EACH time that you upgrade in a category. (example: player does 2 Freestylin', 2 Pickem's, and 2 Game leader selections during the week. He has earned 6 endorsement points for that week)

Special projects assigned by the league will have the ability to earn a few points for doing a job for the league. (Such as compiling the League Leaders, compiling the Game Leaders, etc) If you are interested in doing something like this for the league, send us a note in the MAIL.

So, for the "Summer League" we will be using a different "Message Board" designed specifically for this League. We won't be needing "Graders" (except Freestylin'), but we will have places to Post your PICKEM'S and your "GAME STAT LEADER GUESSES." Along with the normal places for comments and communicating with each other.

We will need a few people to help with some job's (for a few points), but overall the League won't be "High Maintenance", nor will it take much time on the part of the players.

So, while the USIBL will have a "Summer League", we encourage you all to enjoy the outdoors with your friends and family. Taking only a few minutes a couple of times a week, you can place your PICKEM'S, your "GAME STAT LEADER GUESSES", plus maybe a little Freestylin', and then sending in your upgrade points for the week.
