1. All-Star voting: Everyone that wants to (that is in the USIBL) will vote for 2 players at each position for both divisions. (total 10 players.)
*NOTE* You can send in a ballot for each of your players, so if you have 2 players you can send in 2 ballots. Thanks
TO VOTE, in order for you to vote you must click HERE and then fill out the form, YOU MUST FILL OUT YOUR NAME AND TEAM and then vote for 2 People for east and west and each position, to do this just hold down control.
In order to be an “OFFICIAL” ballot that will be counted, you need to send in a ballot with 1.) your players name (ex: Max Baez) 2.) 2 choices from each position for each of the Divisions. (10 players total for each division)
Deadline will be SUNDAY night (Midnight) 6-2-03, at which time the “Official” ballots will be counted and the starting All-Star teams “posted”.
The Coach for the EAST will be whoever has the best record that Sunday from the East.
The Coach for the WEST will be whoever has the best record that Sunday from the Wast.
The Coaches will be sent the results of the ballots, top vote getters will be the starters, and send in lineups, minutes, and such. (Each starter will receive 3 points, while the other selections will receive 2 points a piece) The winning All-Star team will receive 1 point for each player on the winning team, the winning Coach will be given 3 points, the Losing Coach will be given 2 points, and these points can be placed on ANY player of their choosing.
So send in your votes A.S.A.P.
2. *The Rookie/Sophomore Game* We are gonna have a Rookie/Sophomore game this year instead of the 6th man game (sorry all you bench guys.) What will happen is on Sunday night we will tally up the votes for the All-Star Roster, and then 10 rookies that didnt make the All-Star team wil be voted on and the East's 2nd place coach will set their roster and select the Rookies, and then the 2nd place West coach will do the same but for the Sophomores.
NOTE: Signup for events is in the Message Board.
EACH PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE CAN BE INVOLVED IN NO MORE THAN 2 EVENTS DURING ALL-STAR WEEKEND. (if you are selected to the all-star game or the 6th men game then you can still sign up for 2 of the 4 events.) So start signing up. (If you have 2 players, you can sign them each up for 2 events.)
3. *3 ON 3 TEAM TOURNAMENT* will include all 10 teams having a tournament with 3 players from their individual teams, starting on Friday of All-Star weekend. The teams Coaches can handle these teams, or can hand the job to one of his players to handle the Coaching of this tournament. All players on teams that arent in 2 events will be in this.
4. *3-POINT SHOOTING CONTEST and Not So 3-point Contest* If you want to sign up for a 3-point contest just sign-up and then we will make the cut-off so it is even. There are really fun events so if you think that your player can shoot with the best of your group then sign-up.
5. *SLAM-DUNK CONTEST* This contest will be fairly random, but points will be awarded for each round that your player advances, so it should be fun. The number of entries will be limited. (but that number is yet to be decided)
6. *2 ON 2 TOURNEY* This event will involve any 2 players in the league teaming up in a game to 21. You will have to sign teams up, and the tourney will take place Wednesday and Thursday. The number of entries will be limited. (but that number is yet to be decided,) so grab a partner and sign up. Points will also be awarded to players.
*NOTE* That you will only be accepted to 2 events so if you are selected to the all-star game that is a very HIGH honor and I hope you appreciate that, if you are in the great all-star game or Rookie/Sophomore game then you will still be able to be accepted to 2 events because those two games are HONORS. So make sure and tell us what event you want to be in the most, but you can sign up for as many events as you want, but you will only be accepted too 2.
Some of this may change but for right now lets just use this to get all-star weekend started.
We will give you more info on everything a little later but send in your All-star votes and sign up your player for their events.
