The Playhouse Pyro's formed in 2000. The band mostly focuses on playing original songs but pick up covers ranging from many different styles as some shows call for it. Brennan, Brett and Tom were best friends since kindergarden, one of the key factors to the solidity of the band and the ability to work together. They've tried adding a lead guitarist twice first with friend Sean, then with Matt. Matt played their first show with them but is no longer with them for creative differences. The band continues to remain strong writing and playing as a 3 piece "Alternative Punk" band. They just started to gig in late 2002 and are already beginning to collect a following.

The Playhouse Pyros started mainly as a cover band, but have started and are still writing originals that have a pop/punk sound mixed with their alternative influences.

So far, the band has spent most of it's time as a fun band practicing in Tom's garage but are now trying to get some gigs. If anyone is having a party and needs a band to play for free, give one of us am IM, at BrennanJ22, BrettG77, or TomS35.
