Help With Payments

Just food for thought here; small, but thought I would add it anyway.

I know, I know, you can't even get enough to make a payment. I know exactly what you are talking about here, for I am a single mother as well.

Just to save a few bucks, try these:

    1. First of all, most of us don't have enough money to even bother with a checking account. But if you check your local banks (make sure to find one close as possible), most have free checking for the first year.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they all offer free checking accounts...IF you keep a balance of $500 or $1,000 in it (what a joke!). Then the bank may charge a huge fee for checks (so that you can access YOUR OWN MONEY.

CLICK HERECLICK HERE for high quality checks for dirt cheap. Here at www.currentchecks.com, they offer top of the line checks at DIRT cheap prices. Only a fool would pay full price from the banks. Check it out.

If you use your debit card, make sure to try and do withdraws for cash at one of the branches of your bank. This way, its free to take out your own money.

If a bank EVER charges you for temporary checks, or does something with your money that sounds fishy, report them to the FEDS. Some banks make in house rules, which do NOT supersede state or federal guidelines, so they take advantage.

CLICK HERECLICK HERE to report banks to the FEDS. An easy to fill out form, available for consumers online.

In any case, open a free checking account (the type for free the first year), and use it. This way you are able to make electronic transfers to pay your bills (via debit card or online).

Most utility companies accept payment via debit cards (which are visa's or mastercharge).

If they charge a transfer fee, you will have to compare the cost of that fee vs envelope, stamps, gas, wear and tear on vehicle, and of course, your time.

    2. Many companies are online to pay bills. Surf the net a bit and see if you find one you like or ask your bank offers this online payment service.

CLICK HERECLICK HERE for search for debit companies. Ask your bank for these services first...for they have federal guidelines they must follow and are much more trustworthy then other business's whom do debit billpay. MAKE SURE YOU research any pros/cons of each company before signing up for their services.
