Mine
A pic of my family garden; small but productive none the less...
Whether you rent or own, if you have a small area of land or just a padio of some sort...
plant some veggies. To me, the land should yeild something, and gardening is a passion. Some of my friends are farmers, growing pretty much everything you can think of. I simply LOVE to visit them. My favorite ones are the peach farms...ah fruit farms...nothing in the world like fresh, ripe, fruit. NOTHING worse then hard fruit you could chip a tooth on. Don't you just hate that? (LOL)They smirk when they seem my small, itty bitty garden...but its all in good humor. They do it on a large scale and mine, well, I like it.
One of the coolest people on the planet was a little old man who lived next door to my grandmother's house. He had a garden that just made you drool, literally. It was a good size, covering half of his back yard. You name it, he grew it. It looked just like one of those beautiful gardens you see in a House and Garden layout. He was known to be a grumpy sort of old man to all the neighbors, but deep down inside, he was far from it. He was shy, not grumpy, and like many his age, quite vocal as to his displeasure of neighbors loud music (snicker). He was highly intelligent and had a great sense of humor. He took me under his wing and taught me a great deal. Its amazing what you can learn from people. If you listen, they have some of the coolest stories and adventures to tell. I will never forget him or his lessons.
May your garden please you as much as mine does me...
