Its a business, and they have overhead; they try and pack in as many patients as possible in their time frame. Not much time for questions, for most doctors today. The good ones will take the time to listen and answer your questions. The greedy ones just keep watching their watches (literally). If you have the insurance offered from the state, its even HARDER to find one, let alone a good one. Just part of being poor I guess. ClinicsFree or low cost health care. It usually goes on a sliding scale (depending upon what your income is). Some clinics won't take you if you have any type of insurance, some do. There are clinics for baby shots, well visits, etc.Again, open up that phone book and start calling around. If you don't get any answers, call some main numbers to county officials and they can give you some idea where to go. Calling your county is the BEST source to find any services in your area. DentistsGood luck with this one. Hardy any of them donate their skills for the poor, let alone any sort of dental clinic. I have yet to find one.On a personal note; there are two different types of dentists: 1. Old school- who feel that pain is just part of life. 2. The new mindset- why suffer if you dont have to. Personally, I would rather have the new mindset dentists. In all fairnessIn all fairness to doctors, of any type, there are a special few whom donate their skills to fly around they world and help people in third world countries. They fix anything from hairlips to club feet, and much much more. These doctors are my heros. |
