DNS    Did not start - Number of finishers +1

DNF    Did not finish - Same as DNS

DNC    Did not compete - Number of boats in series + 1 (see ISAF rule A9)

RDGa    Redress with average points - used to credit a skipper for being committee by assuming either his average points or number of boats racing plus one (so that if you average 5 points, but were committee for 3 racers, then you would receive 4 points, assuming that would have been your score had you raced.  If your average was 2.1 points then you would be placed with 2.1 points.

Notes on Crew Weight

Minimum crew weight for a Hobie 16 is 285 pounds.  Crews under this weight are allowed to add up to 50 pounds of fixed ballast to the boat to meet weight.  To correct the results for those sailing with underweight crew and no extra ballast, weight handicaps for Portsmouth ratings from US Sailing have been employed.  See the following chart to see the corrections applied.
