On Goalies
Forrest Kobayashi

Alright, so you are watching a hockey game and you see the goalie in the net. Since you just turned the TV on you have no clue who he is, so you yell and scream nonstop at your television set until they say, "Brodeur with the save! My oh My!". Then you realize, "ohh crap, Brodeur was the only guy that could make that save, I should have known that!" And you start banging your head against the wall.

No matter what happens when you see a goalie play, you have to be amazed at what these guys are going through. They are taking repeated beatings to their chest, their mask, their glove, and everywhere else a puck hits. So, who will be the Brodeur of the three elite iHL goalies?

Giguere said to me, "Forrest, I think that I will be the best because I work hard everyday and I save 100 consecutive shots every day at practice." So?

One of the hardest things to do is to rate a goalie, since you need to take a lot into perspective when rating. Can they make saves that other goalies can't? Is their reaction time faster than everyone elses? Can they frighten opponents so much that the forward can't even take a shot? These are all qualities that James Sircumalot Jr. has.

His reaction time is amazing, and he will keep forwards on their feet. He is that goalie that won't let a puck slip by him no matter what happens. Hes the guy that will save the game winning shot from getting into the net.

Yes, he is a franchise goalie, and no, you don't see goalies like him everyday.
