DA Dive Log

Tom and Rich dove in the Manasquan River on November 30, 2003. The dive was eventful in that they couldn’t see much of the bottom. The vis was really really krappy due to recent storms, but the water temperature was high forties. Most of the mobile marine life is beginning to leave, die, or hide in the mud. It is interesting to see the change in the season occur.

 DA Dive Plan

Tom and Rich plan to dive in Sandy Hook’s Horseshoe Cove on next Saturday afternoon, December 20, 2003.  Anyone who wants to join them should plan to meet them at the Ranger Station at around 230PM. Please email Tom or Rich to let them know you plan to join them.

This dive is weather permitting. Conditions look reasonable in the long-range forecast, but winter conditions may change quickly. Sometimes decisions need to be made on site and defer to a warm restaurant.

Contact Tom or Rich if you are interested in diving any Sunday or Thursday at various sites throughout the area depending on water and weather conditions.

Boat Dives: Tom and Ben plan to personally charter the Spring Tide out of Brielle for dives in 2004. These dates are open to club members as well as Tom’s students so contact Tom or Ben for information about these dives. The sign up date will be our February 2004 meeting. Bring $60 for each dive trip you wish to make.

Other club members have indicated that they will be arranging charters. As dates are set, they will be added to the calendar.

Boat Diving Requirements

Everyone please be advised that the following are required by Tom and Ben to dive on any of their charters:
