Well, a somewhat shaky start often DOES lead to good things, as apparently my exploits with this page have proven. Though I don't necessarily have the same amount of traffic I enjoyed at the upsurgence of visits to my page, I do have enough to get by on and lead a happy life with. No complaints here. I love the work, and I live for it, along with everything else in my life. But I really do love the work, as paradoxical as that may seem. The shaky restart in the beginning days of April has brought me a long way to where I stand today, with 100 poems in my collection. My hits have exceeded 1400, though most of those were probably generated by me while I was working to perfect the page. I am happy. Enough said. So the page is a success. Who would have thought? I never imagined that I would actually be able to make a page that actually offers something to the general public, regardless of how critical they may become of me. Meanwhile, I am still building. Yes, this page is still quite a distance from being complete, and I am definitely clinging to the diminished but still burning notion that this page should include something more than just amateur poetry, and preferably something that can bring me some revenue. But until then, feel free to enjoy the poems, and I will continue to work feverishly to make your desires come true. I hope you like this site, if you're a first-timer. If you're not, then I hope you HAVE liked it and continue to like it - for your sake as well as mine, because I know where you live. So have a good time. I promise you, you can if you really want to. |
