Monkey Bread
4 pkgs biscuits (plain)
1 cup sugar
2 tab cinnamon
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
Cut or tear biscuits into quarters
Mix sugar & cinnamon
Coat biscuits
Layer 1/2 biscuits in tube pan
Mix remaining ingredients in sauce pan
Cook til boiling
Pour 1/2 of mixture over first layer of
biscuits and repeat with remaining biscuits
and mix. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes Turn
onto plate immediately from oven.
Monkey Bread
3 medium cans buttermilk biscuits
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 stick of margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
Cut biscuits into quarters & roll into
mixture of 1/2 cup sugar & 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
Pile into greased & floured bundt pan. Melt
margarine; add 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 tsp
cinnamon. Pour over biscuits in pan. Bake at
350°, 30-35 min.
Cheesy Monkey Bread
1 egg plus enough water to equal 1 cup
3-1/2 cups bread flour
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1-1/2 tsp bread machine yeast
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp garlic, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted
Place ingredients in bread machine pot in
order listed, except for Parmesan cheese,
garlic and the 1/2 cup butter
Use basic setting; press 'start'
When setting is complete, remove dough from
inner pot
Punch dough down and place in greased bowl
Turn dough to coat evenly
Cover and let stand 30 minutes or until
doubled in size
Punch down and divide into 18 equal pieces.
Combine Parmesan cheese and garlic. Dip dough
pieces in melted butter and rollin
cheese/garlic mixture. Arrange in layers in
well greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover and let
rise in warm, draft free place for 45 minutes
or until doubled Bake in pre-heated oven 350°
for 35 to 45
minutes or until golden brown.
