ABOUT US:

The Wayne Soccer Club Jaguars were formed in 1997, when the girls were 7 years old. We played in the premier flight of the very tough Mid-Jersey League for may years, one of the toughest in NJ. We now play in the Premier Flight in the Morris County (MCYSA) League. For fall 2003 and Spring 2004, we will be competing in the Girls "Under-14" age bracket.

We are professionally trained and coached by Dave Harrison-Jones, a former coach with Norwich City Football Club, a professional soccer team in England. 

We've been very competitive every season, including 1 undefeated season. We seek out the best competition, playing in top tournaments on the East Coast.  In '99 we played in one of the top tournaments in the country ("The Virginian"). We finished second in our flight, playing some of the top teams from Virginia and Maryland.  In '00 we traveled to Hampden, PA to play some of the best teams from PA and NJ. We won the championship in a dramatic final game decided by penalty kicks. See "Latest Results" for the full story. In Spring '02 we went north to Framingham, MA and went undefeated in the Premier flight. Recently, we won the Hazlet Columbus Day tournament.

Overall, we've won a lot of games in every tournament or league we've competed in. More important than just winning, though, we have a team that really enjoys competing and playing soccer. We emphasize ball skills, intelligent play and athleticism. This is our game - watch us play!

TRYOUTS:

In general, if  you're serious about soccer, but don't mind having loads of fun, you would love our team. We have regularly scheduled tryouts in May for the following Fall season. To try out then, or any other time, contact us by phone or e-mail.
