Something good comes out of a bad dream for Todd and Téa this week on OLTL. After making love with Andrew for the first time, Téa moves back into the penthouse with Todd. "She figures that the only way she can get a divorce from Todd is if she does this trial reconciliation," Florencia Lozano (Téa) explains.Todd works hard at being kind and considerate to Téa, even suggesting that they play a game together. Téa participates, but "she's trying to remain very distanced," Lozano continues, "which actually is not that hard for her, because she's going in wiht the attitude of 'I'm not staying here'". The couple retire for the evening, separately. Later, Téa is awakened by Todd, who's having a nightmare.
"She goes to see if he's OK. The way they connect is through her trying to comfort him, because he's really in pain and freaking out," Lozano says. "He tells her about his nightmares. So it all comes out of a place where neither one of them is manipulating it, or driving it, or controlling it, it comes out of their mutual vulnerability -his weaknesses, her weaknesses - which is interesting, that they can find each other in that place, instead of a power game."
The next morning, Todd and Téa wake up in bed together. "Todd has just slept longer than he's slept in months. He's confused and vulnerable," Lozano says. "What he told her and what she ended up telling him was really intimate stuff that I don't think he's shared with many people."
By week's end, Todd and Téa will be sharing more than just an emotional understanding.
