Tea has been standing in the back of the room all night in a corner. She has been watching Todd all night laughing with Viki, teasing Jessica... it wasn't hard to figure out who was who even with the masks. All the outfits fit the personalities. Except Todd's, of course. Imagine her bad boy dressed as a do-gooding cop. She didn't have much room to talk though, she was dressed as Tess Truehart. Guess we still have that psychic thing going on, eh Manning.
Tess Truehart, what a joke. She was so far from that it wasn't even funny. I'm not sure I even have one. It was broke the night I had to leave you,querido. God, how could the most wonderful night of a person's life also be the worst? The best because we finally made love. She could still feel his hands on her body if she thought hard enough. Tea follows Todd around at a safe distance. There are so many people he'll never notice, she thinks. Suddenly Todd stops, glancing behind him as if he senses something.
Oh God, I can't let him know I'm here, not yet. Besides I can just imagine his anger when he finds out I'm 7 months pregnant and didn't tell him. Even though it wasn't my desicion, he'll be furious.
Just as Tea is about to make a run for the terrace she sees that woman come up and gently touch Todd on the shoulder. He turns and smiles at her. Damn! I hate that woman! Who is she?Where did he meet her? And why does he smile at her like that? I'm making myself crazy. I've got to get out of here, she thinks.
She makes it as far as the terrace when she feels a pain in her stomach. She doubles over only keeping her balance by holding on to a chair. As she is about to faint she heres a familiar voice.
"Excuse me, are you all right?" Viki takes one look at the young woman and instantly recognizes her. Even though she is wearing a mask to hide her eyes.
"Oh my goodness Tea?" Viki says. She holds out her hand to steady Tea. Viki glances down and sees Tea's stomach. "Wait right here I'll go get Ben. He's a doctor he can help you."
"Viki wait. Please don't tell Todd I'm here," Tea pleads through her fingers.
"Don't worry. I think you have enough to worry about right know without dealing with my brother," Viki answers. Viki helps Tea into a chair and turns to go get Ben.
"Viki, thank you," Tea says.
Viki smiles back her acknowledgement and goes to find Ben.
Dear God, please don't let me lose this baby. It's all I have left of Todd. I can't lose it too.
