Biography

My love for music started at a young age. When I was three years old, my parents bought me my very own AM/FM radio for my birthday. As I began moving the dial up and down I discovered a world that I knew I wanted to be a part of: music. Though there were many choices, there was one style that caught my attention and held it; the classical music station. As I sat listening to the beautiful sounds of the violin streaming through the speakers, I knew that was the instrument I was going to learn how to play.

I approached my parents about the idea of playing the violin. Though excited at my interest, they were hesitant to say yes due to my being so young. My mom told me that if I was still interested when I turned five that she would find me a teacher. Well, my fifth birthday came and I once again asked my parents if I could learn how to play the violin. This time my mom and dad agreed that it was now the right time to start learning.

With a violin no bigger than a small shoe box, I began learning the basics of violin through the suzuki method. I practiced hard, worked through the squeeks, and eventually started to actually sound good. With each new thing I learned, I grew to love and appreciate the violin and music in general all the more.

At age six I tried out and performed for Al Alberts for his showcase. On a smaller scale I also played at school talent shows and even did specials in church. In High School, I competed regionally and nationally in voilin competitions winning first place on numerous occassions. I also was a member of the Rowan University Youth Orchestra in which I held first chair.

My freshman year of college I put my violin skills to good use joining the Eastern Strings Ensemble and also a campus worship team. I also on a larger scale was part of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Played in Broadway's Pit Orchestra for Fiddler on the Roof and Phantom of the Opera. Upon completion I received a bachelors degree in Youth Ministry with a Minor in Music.

Today, my love and passion for music hasn't changed. I love playing and performing wherever I am asked. It is my hope that I can provide an extra element of elegance and sophistication to whatever event you may have.
