My Will

I want to be a light for You, You know my heart is true
I want to exemplify Christ the best I can in all that I do
I want to serve You with all of my heart, all the days I live
My heart, my soul, my mind, my life is what I want to give

I don't want to be distracted by the vain things of this life
I don't want to be weighted down by the things that cause me strife
I don't want to live a life that is full of lies and pride
Instead, I want people to know that in You I do confide

Give me grace to continue my course no matter what I face
Help me to keep pushing until I reach that place
Of final glory where I'll always be with You
Where I will forever glorify Your Name in all that I do
