The telephone was ringing. Stephanie ran down the hall to the living room to answer it.
"Hello?" she said when she finally picked it up. "Is Stephanie there?" a man's voice said. "Yeah. Who's this?" "AJ." "AJ?! Where have you been? I've been trying to get a hold of you all day. What the hell is your problem?" "Sorry. I had to think about something." "Oh, ok. So, wassup?" "Nothin. Me and the rest of the guys are going to a club and I was wondering if you wanted to go?" "Are the guys going to mind?" "No. They all love you." "Are you sure?" "Yeah." "Ok. I guess I'll go." "You don't have to if you don't want to." "No. I do. What time are you picking me up?" "In about an hour." "Ok. See ya then." "Alright. Bye." "Bye."
Stephanie hung up the phone and went upstairs to get changed because she was in her pajamas. When she got to her room, she walked over to the closet to pick out an outfit. She picked out a short, black miniskirt and a tight, pink tube top with black platform sandels. Then she went into the bathroom to get ready.
'Ding, dong.' went the doorbell.
Stephanie walked to the door and answered it. On the other side was AJ and Nick.
AJ was wearing a pair of really baggy khakies and white wifebeater with a shirt over top. Nick was wearing really baggy khakies also with a Tommy Hilfiger shirt.
"Hey." Stephanie said. "Hey." Nick and AJ said at the same time. "Are you ready?" AJ asked while looking Stephanie up and down.
Stephanie looked over at Nick, who was smiling from ear to ear.
"Yeah." Stephanie said.
Stephanie grabbed her purse and they left.
Stephanie, AJ, and Nick found the rest of the guys and then got a table. Stephanie and AJ sat down and the rest of the guys went to do other things.
Stephanie and AJ were sitting at the table, talking.
"What do you think I should do?" AJ asked. "What are you talking about?" "Oh, sorry. Nevermind." "No. Tell me." "Ok. I feel really bad about dumping Amanda but I'm in love with somebody else." "Just tell the other girl." "It's not that easy." "Why?" "I kind-of don't want Amanda to know." "Then I have no idea what to tell you." "Your so helpful." "Yeah. Well, I try."
AJ laughed at what Stephanie said and then he said, "Come on. Let's go dance." "Ok."
Stephanie and AJ got up and AJ took her hand. Then they walked over to the dance floor and started dancing to a slow song.
Stephanie put her head on AJ's shoulder and AJ pulled her even closer.
Brian and Nick were over getting drinks and Brian looked over at them. He elbowed Nick and Nick turned around. Brian pointed at AJ and Stephanie and Nick looked at them. They smiled at each other and went back to getting their drinks.
Amanda, who was also at the club, walked out of the bathroom and saw AJ and Stephanie dancing. She walked over to them and tapped AJ on the shoulder. Brian and Nick both saw this and gave each other glances as to say, should we step in or not. They went over to the table and put their drinks down and kept watching AJ, Amanda, and Stephanie.
AJ and Stephanie pulled away and both looked at her.
"Can I cut in?" Amanda asked with an evil grin on her face. "Yeah. Sure. Go ahead." Stephanie said backing out of the way. "No. I was dancing with Stephanie." AJ said while pulling Stephanie to him again. "So, this is who you left me for?" Amanda asked.
AJ didn't say anything.
Stephanie looked back and forth between AJ and Amanda.
"I knew it. You know what. I'm out of here." Amanda said. "AJ, Is it true?" Stephanie asked.
AJ just looked at the floor. Stephanie pulled away from him.
"Steph, Who's side are you on?" Amanda said. "Are you coming with me or are you staying with him?"
Stephanie looked at Amanda and then at AJ. Then she walked over to Amanda and they left. Brian and Nick went over to AJ and Brian asked, "Are you ok?"
AJ looked at them and then he walked out of the club.
