When Nick got home, he found his friends, Brian, AJ, Kevin, and Howie sitting on the couch.
"What took you so long to get home?" Kevin asked. "I walked." "Nicky met a girl!" AJ and Brian chanted.
Nick blushed.
"So what is she like? Where does she live?" AJ asked. "What's her name?" "She's nice. Next door and Stephanie." "Does little Nicky have a crush?" Brian asked. "Stop calling me that and I don't know." "Nicky has a crush!"
Nick blushed.
"Don't worry about it. We won't say anything. Right guys?" "Right." they all said with little grins on their faces. "Can somebody take me back to the school? I need to get my car." "Sure. Me and Bone will." Brian said.
They went outside and there was a red corvette, with a bunch of guys, parked in Stephanie's driveway.
"She must be one hot chick." AJ said. "Did I mention that she is the most popular girl in the school, she's on the cheerleading squad, and she's just got dumped?" "Not exactly." Brian said. "I guess it slipped my mind."
Just then, two girls walked out of Stephanie's house.
"Are one of those two her?" AJ asked. "No. The one in the orange shirt is Amanda and the one in the purple shirt is um Chloe, I think." "Oh."
They started walking to Brian's car when another girl came out.
"Who's that?" AJ asked. "That's Stephanie." "Wow. She's hot." "Duh." "Why was she dumped?" "She didn't say."
Stephanie stopped walking and looked over at Nick, AJ, and Brian, who were all looking at her.
"Hey, Steph. Come on." one of the guys from the car shouted.
Stephanie walked over to the car and got in. She turned up the radio so that it was blasting and then the guy driving went speeding down the road.
"I wonder where their going in such a hurry." AJ said. "I don't know." Brian said. "Can we go get my car?" Nick asked.
They all got in the car and drove to the school.
