'Beep, beep.'
Stephanie picked up her bookbag and ran down the stairs.
"Bye, Mom. I'm leaving." "Alright. See ya when I get home from work." "Alright."
Stephanie walked outside to Chloe's car.
"Hey, Clo." she said as she got in the car. "Hey. Did somebody finally move in next door?" "It looks that way but I don't know." "Oh."
Chloe backed out of the driveway and drove to school.
~~~~~~~Outside of the school~~~~~~~
Stephanie and Chloe got out of the car and started walking up to the school. Stephanie's boyfriend, Jeff, came up along side of her.
"Hey Babe." he said. "Hey."
Stephanie turned to Chloe and said, "I'll see ya 1st." "Ok."
Then Stephanie and Jeff walked away. Jeff walked Stephanie to her locker and then left. Stephanie opened her locker and then Amanda came up behind her.
"Did you see the new kid?" Amanda asked. "What?" "Did you see the new kid?" "No. Describe." "Tall, blonde." "Is that it?" "All I saw." "I didn't get a chance to see anything or anybody." "Why?"
Stephanie got out her books and closed her locker door and then her and Amanda started walking down the hall.
"Jeff was at my side the minute I got out of the car before. I'm sick of it." "Dump him." "I want to." "Then do it."
Stephanie shrugged her shoulders and they walked into their classroom. They sat down in the back and talked for a couple of minutes and then the bell rang.
~~~~~~~During 1st period~~~~~~~
Stephanie, Amanda, and Chloe were sitting in the back of the room talking when a tall blonde walked in. This caused them to look up for a moment. Then they went back to talking.
"That's him." Amanda whispered to Stephanie. "He's a hottie." "Duh." "The only free seat is next to Stephanie." the teacher said from the front of the room. "Stephanie, please raise your hand." "What's the matter?" "Raise your hand." "Ok. I guess."
Stephanie raised her hand and the tall blonde walked back and sat down next to her.
"Hi. I'm Stephanie." Stephanie said. "But I have the feeling you already know that and this Amanda and this is Chloe."
The blonde turned and looked at her.
"Hey. I'm Nick."
